I just corrected a typo in my post: with a -10 DM the target number would be 45, not 40 ( 45+(10-10)=45 )

Can I use acrobatics to follow Ariel out of the crowd rather than strength? I'm thinking Thorne can take care of himself, so can Ariel, probably, but I went to all this effort to figure out where she is, so I'm going to follow. I'll roll an acrobatics test and a strength test, you can decide which is more appropriate (don't feel compelled to use one that passed, I'm just rolling both now since I'd rather use acrobatics but I'm not sure I can, so I'm rolling both to save time). I'll throw a command check in there for good measure, trying to get the people to move out of my way. If I'm doing too much in one round, just let me know. Feel free to resolve this over 2 rounds if necessary

I honestly wouldn't have had you roll anything. Your acrobatics had you safely navigating the crowd before. But you passed those tests so you're fine anyways.

We're still in relatively narrative time, since no one has engaged the combat.

also, Estelia isn't running cross the top of the crowd. That's doesn't really sound possible to me. She was crouching on some people's shoulders, but she got down. The acrobatics/strength check was to work her way trough the crowd at ground level.

I didn't mean to imply that she was on top of the crowd or anything, but at the end of the day such an interpretation doesn't really change anything.

Regardless both sisters are safe from the crowd and out of the way currently. That's the lay of the land as it stands.

Oh, did you get our names mixed up then? I was confused about the part with "the mob she, Ariel, is standing on" and briefly wondered about that, but then thought it intentional as the character otherwise probably wouldn't have much of a chance spotting anything whilst tightly surrounded by a sea of bodies 1-2 heads larger than she is.

Estelia did point out which direction Ariel was in to Thorne before she ran off
