WOW! I love them all, especially The Diamondback. Great jobs on all of the ships.

Love the design on the wings!
thx, i had to buy a 5/0 brush to paint them lol
Some great stuff here, and I am happy to see I am not the only one stuck painting them dreadful IA models.
My friend gave me all of his stuff to paint, ugh some of the model detailing is very poor, and then the colour schemes are limiting, all in all not my favorite set of stuff to do.
But you have done a great job with them.
Ok, so an update on some commissions ive been doing thanks to the trade thread (link)
I had the bright idea to help bolster my offerings on the trade thread by offering painting commissions as part of the deal.
Had a few takers so far
First up was a request for a similar paint job to the diamondback MC80 with slight modifications
The Diamondback MK II
Here's some work in progress shots of a collection of firesprays i was charged with
all of these firesprays only have the base colors on them, and have not gotten any glazing or drybrush weathering.

Hey CP, when are you going to paint the rest of our IA stuff? We have a Rancor to paint soon.
managed to finally get some more time to paint.
so,
I started with the MC80 that used to be the diamondback. I know a lot of people were fans of the paint job, but after painting it a second time i saw a lot of things which were lacking on my original design, so into the simple green it went,
but an amazing thing happened when I brought it back out - I had simply 0 desire to paint the design a third time, so instead I did this
I like this paint job WAAAAAYY better.
I started off with a OD flat green primer on the top, and a Desert Tan primer on the bottom,
Then I drew the face, and the shark on the Starboard side, then i painted the engines and shaded the whole thing selectively with 5 different shades. in retrospect i probably should have saved this paintjob for a liberty, but im sure i can do it better. the bumps made painting the mouth .... interesting. It was difficult to paint it in such a way that it looked like a smooth continuation, but in the end i think it looks alright. Given the scale of what the real thing would be, im sure they would have come up with something similar.
I also worked on a few of gallagher's ships
borrowing heavily from 54NCH32's work ( i just LOVED the colors) I painted up these
There are actually 4 colors on both of these, but the lighting blends a few of them. They are black, German dark field grey, white, and sunshine yellow. in person the black and grey are a bit more discernible. I have another victory which i may do the same way but in red.
The whole thing reminds me of the old ps3 game haze. and red would look like mirrors edge.
II may also paint an MC30 up with the red scheme of this with the mirror's edge logo (id have a hard time putting the logo of something that stands for freedom from oppression on an imperial ship lol)

D**n you! haha, just kidding
Like it, I'm a massive fan of yellow/black/white (or grey) colour schemes, but I've yet to take the brush to my Imperials. Just trying to find the time to get em done now (defo gonna do a glad/demo first to see how it goes).
Plus I've been taking my sweet time to pick out what bits I wanna paint on the bigger boys (their not exactly symmetrical left and right side panel lines keeps throwing me off) before I take the plunge. (Or justify buying an airbrush!) Like what you've got going on here though, given me a bit of confidence to just go for it.
Edited: as "d**n" censored, looked like I had dropped the F bomb instead!

I saw Sanchez's designs and immediately said "STEAL!" to myself. Seeing them painted makes me even more excited. Sorry Sanchez, you touched off a trend of white/black/yellow star destroyers that look just dang rad not to copy.
D**n you all! haha
Cheers though guys, glad you're feeling the colour scheme. I'd best get painting!
I'm just annoyed I settled on this scheme AFTER I had painted all my TIE's. May well add some squad markings too... talk about making more work for myself!
lol isn't that always the way though
Love it! The black/white/yellow star destroyers!
Call it "The Killer Bee Squadron".
(Somehow, I can hear John Belushi-- "We are-- The Killer Bees!")
I have a squad of Red/Yellow Ties already painted that I think will go great with them Nice little contrast. Centre, what paint did you use for the white? I don't want to use pure white, but mixing in a little grey, off white or blue all ended up with it not looking like I wanted. Which just so happens to be exactly what they look like there haha.
ALSO I finally remembered why the color scheme looked familiar! It reminds me of the Normandy from Mass Effect!
Another commission Done!
these are shipping out today, so i figured I'd get them on here
Group shot front
Group shot rear
Tie Advanced (vader in red)
Tie Bombers (rhymer in red)
Tie Fighters (mauler has a blood stripe, and howlrunner has the gold arrow)
Tie Interceptors (soontir in gold, and 181st with red lines)
It was left pretty open as to what they wanted me to do other than they wanted ROTJ blue. Everything else was up to me. I really like the look of red cockpits for elite fighters, and gold just stands out on the table soo well.

Broba, the white is colormatic flat white spray paint. its 96 cents at walmart for a whole can and it is one of the best paints i have ever used. i also use the mat black for my imperials.
the dark grey was Vallejo german dark field gray, the medium grey was mechanicus standard, and i think it is sunshine yellow.
Baron Fel using his considerable wealth to create a golden TIE Interceptor I see. FFG Worthington III would be proud.
Man those are some sexy TIE fighters. The dude getting them is very lucky and probably is also exceptionally handsome, intelligent and charming.

Well then, it definitely can't be you then.

.96 cent.... well I didn't want to break the bank but I guess I'll splurge just this once.
