But then for me,

That Method works well on the Rebel ships as the FFG Paint jobs on most of the models are already really good.

in some cases they just need that little extra....Dirt and Grime.

Luke, Wedge and Red Leader with Pencil weathering and block shading.

Falcon with the Same Approach...

And the Outrider.....

Modified Bwing with folded Wings.

Bwing with Khiraxz and Custom Ywing

Heavily modified Ywing with large wing area, Canards and full missile and bomb racks along with

weapon pods from a Z95 and Turret weapon from the Decimator.

Awing repaint.

y-wing seriously look mean with the wings/front "fang" like edges.

love the Y wing, not so much a fan of the B wing with the folded wings and lipstick blob engine glow.. guessing that is one of your first mods judging from the quality of your other work??

Thanks Stoneface, Battle Fleet Gothic ships have mast's or antennas on the weapon sprue's

I used those once I cut the wings off to but up against the joining edge, gives it an open mechanical folding mechanism look.

as the mast pieces from BFG have lots of fine detail on them.

I have seen others starting to add wings to the Ywings, but I like the idea of the modern aircraft look of adding "Canards" front wings to the Ywings

to help even out the model cheers guys.

HA HA na it was just a rush job to get it on the Table for an Epic game.......I needed four Bwings, and this one was in bits at the time.

and your right......the rear nacelle engine glow does look naff !

Im going to add some very small plastic Crystals into the nacelle, they will pick up the light like my scum ships.

Another Model Using Pencils.

you can see the difference between the standard ffg finish, add just adding some extra shading and grime with pencils.

And because the Stand is terrible on this model.

I drilled out the bottom, put in a support tube

after pulling the two half's apart.....

And added cargo pods where the stand use to go....

Love those cargo pods! Are they scratchbuilt, or using scavenged kit parts ? - If so, can you say where from, as the best I've found so far are N-gauge 20ft containers.
