Tweaking Cards

Tweaked characters of my group:

Priest

  • If you are evil, you do not lose a life in the Chapel . If you are good , you do not lose a life in the Graveyard.
  • You may use your power of exorcising and choose to be unaffected by the Devil and the Angel.

Monk

  • Strenght Value 3 (instead of 2)
  • You begin the game with 1 Spell.

Elf

  • Fate Value 4 (instead of 3)
  • Life Value 5 (instead of 4)
  • You begin the game with 1 Spell.
  • If you are on the Woods , in the Forest or in the Cursed Glade, instead of rolling the die for your move, you may move to any other Woods , Forest or Cursed Glade in the same Region .
  • You may ignore all the printed text in the Cursed Glade and instead treat it like as if it said "Draw 1 Card. Do not draw a card if there is already one in this space ."

Ghoul

  • You may use all, none, or some of your raised Follwers in psychic combat.
  • Whenever you visit the Graveyard , you may heal up to your life value .

Magus

  • Instead of moving, you may do an occult ritual : discard a Weapon or an Armour to get 1 Strenght, or discard 1 indoctrinated Follower to get 1 Craft (no restrictions: even Poltergeist, Cursed by Hag,...).

Dread Knight

  • Fate Value 3 (instead of 1)
  • Whenever another character in your Region engages an Enemy in psychic combat, you may terrify him. Move to the character's space and add your Craft Value to the enemy 's attack score . If the character loses the psychic combat, you receive 1 Spell, if your Craft allows, but you must miss your next turn .
  • If you encounter the Black Knight you may do a "Riding Duel" : Roll one die for yourself and one die for Black knight. If the scores are equal: Stalemate. If your score is lower: Lose one life . If your score is higher: Black Knight gives you a reward from the Stable Deck of your choice.

Chivalric Knight

  • If you encounter the Black Knight you may do a "Riding Duel" : Roll one die for yourself and one die for Black knight. If the scores are equal: Stalemate. If your score is lower: Lose one life. If your score is higher: Black Knight gives you a reward from the Stable Deck of your choice.

Alchemist

  • Alchemise 2 golds -> 1 potion (instead of 1 gold -> 1 potion)

Bounty Hunter

  • If your attack score is the same of your opponent, add 1 to your attack score

Jin Blooded

  • At the start of your turn, you may discard 1 of your Spells to replenish 1 fate (instead of gain 1 fate)

Doomsayer

  • Craft Value 3 (instead of 4)
  • Fate Value 2 (instead of 3)

We used to tweak more characters before, less now since characters overall are stronger and the board is larger and the number of ways to play the game have increased. Still the Elf can ignore region restrictions when teleporting between, although with cataclysm this will probably change or come with some other restriction (perhaps craft 8 for middle region). The ghoul has also been up for discussion and we've more or less agreed that he keeps killed enemies as trophies and can raise when he's about to engage in battle and (most likely) psycic combat as well. He's still restricted to 1 per combat though.
