Hello people, i am new here and new to Talisman board game 4th edition.

I need help clarifying the rule about the "Cave (Adventure)" card:

If i defeat the Dragon -

1. Attacked by a Dragon with Strength 7

do i get 1 strength?

and, if i defeat the Goblin -

1. Attacked by a Goblin with Strength 2

do i get to "keep" the enemy's 2 strength in order to level up?
