Can unique character be saved with dupes with the first snow plot? Thanks!

Yes. Dupes can save from any effect that would make a card leave play (provided it doesn't specify "cannot be saved").
Are you sure? I think dupes don't save from FSOW as the effect is lasting until each character with printed cost 3 or lower is returned to owners hand. Rules says that “if lasting effect imposes a condition upon a card that would continually drive it from play, any attempt to save a card must also remedy the ongoing condition”. Dupes don’t remedy the condition that each 3 or lower has to be returned.
It's not a lasting effect. It happens once, then over.
