How cool would that be. We are getting a Predator (the most powerful EPT in the game) alt art in the next tournament kit and it has a Y wing on it which it awesome. How cool would it be if the alt art TLT was on a HWK (the most powerful ship in the game).

Since TLT is in every list that is wining tournaments I think it derivers a alt art. after all they made a alt art C-3P0 which was in all the winning list from last year but now not many people are using it. I think FFG should get ahead of the meta and give us the alt art that everyone is using now and not when we are no longer using it.

I highly doubt they'll do an alt-art of a card that was released less than 12 months ago, not to mention it being available in pairs in K-wings already.

The C3PO card being available as an alt-art was more a response to the insane prices people were having to pay for a card that helped redefine an entire ship. At minimum, you spent the bones of $40 on eBay, if you didn't spend twice that, or more, buying the Corvette. It's a way of giving casual players, or more frugal ones, a way of running Goldenrod without spending a fortune.

Meanwhile, TLT cards are literally awash within the player base, because K-wings are bloody great.

Besides, there's a looooong list of upgrades ahead of TLT worthy of alt-art makeovers. Daredevil or Adrenaline Rush come to mind. Both several waves old, both becoming more useful, and both only available in single copies, from just one expansion each.

I'll go with TIE/1x and ATC.

I second TIE/x1 or Autothrusters. Both are basically "balance fix" cards that, if this game were computer based, wouldn't exist because an update would have fixed the balance issues.

Although seeing the history of alt art cards given in tournaments, they don't seem to be at all these kind of "balance fix" cards save, perhaps, for Push the Limit.

And why would they be? Not everyone collects every ship, or indeed even every faction. I'd expect them to stick with bristly useful cards that everyone can appreciate (PTL, RecSpec, Gunner) or iconic characters (C3PO is at least in the movies, y'know?)

Alt art balance patches are neither generically handy (not only a single faction, but a single ship!) nor movie-iconic.

They might make an exception for guidance chips at some point, though I really wonder why it didn't just come a wave earlier with the punisher/K instead.

And while you personally wouldn't mind, it's still a card that's relatively new, readily available/cheap to acquire, and not a 100% essential to fly certain ships (HWKs and Ys still have plenty of other options for their loadout). To top it all off, there's nothing really "faction specific" about the current TLT artwork. Maybe one day TLT will get passed out as a freebie at tournaments, but I have to think there's a plethora of contenders that should come before it. Juke, for example, while currently new is also a pain to acquire, very popular, and specifically features a TIE Fighter. Wired is right there with it in most of those regards (and is even pricier to get).

Heck, now that we have two Core Sets I wouldn't complain if they decided to release R2-D2 (astro) as alternate art.
