What's Your Fluff-ification for...?

By superdave, in X-Wing

Lt. Lorrir spends all day practicing his slick power slides instead of actually training for combat.

My Falcon has Chewie, Marksmanship, Gunner, Title, Experimental Interface, and Kyle Katarn. Whenever Gunner misses both re-rolls and chewie flies into something, I just say the two of them have been drinking.

My Falcon is now the Party Bus.

Why does rebel captive stress scum pilots?

Because that captive has a sweet bounty on their heads and one condition .. must be taken alive.

I almost went with this, but didn't because you are destroying the ship. There's no taking anyone alive.

R3A2 blasts REAAAALLLY annoying music over the comm system.

no him and his pilot are yelling SUPPRESSING FIRE over the enemy and friendly comms while shooting wildly. hes yelling it in droid beeps because hes an astromech. im pretty sure ive posted this before but its true.

Biggs: Imperial pilots love bragging and all Rebel pilots are indistinguishable in their flight suits and helmets. Imp pilots really want to brag about blazing "the git with the moustache" .. the only Rebel they can tell apart from the others.

Well, I exclude Porkins. But everyone knows he detonates before the Imps even get to their TIEs.

Because they envy his magnificent fluttering cape, and Vader has something particular to say about it too.

Why does rebel captive stress scum pilots?

The card represents a number of captives, perhaps an entire primitive tribe being forcably relocated so a moff can expand his golf course, and the crew are now throwing the capives out the door as improvised chaff. Most pilots get a little stressed out as their attack run is suddenly disrupted by having to dodge a low flying ewok.

"Dutch" Vander must be a great ship mechanic and knows the weak points of all ships he flies against and tells his squadmates the weak points to aim at.

Tacticians are actually crazy weapons engineers who have figured out how to get their ships' weapons systems to fire, in addition to their normal payload, a Rebel Captive. It only works at Range 2, though. At Range 1 they're too soft and going too fast, and just turn into pink mush on the windscreen. At Range 3 they've completely frozen, and shatter on impact into unrecognizable chunks. It's only at Range 2 that you get the sweet spot where they're still recognizable as they smush up against the cockpit window.

*blam!

*thud

Aunt Mabel!?

ETA: And yes, you can equip a Tactician on a Rebel ship. That's why they call them "Tacticians" instead of "Psychotic Corpse Bombers". This is a secret that could rock the Alliance to its core!

Howlrunner is such a b*tch to be around that other pilots close by would rather make sure they jit their target over listen to her whine over the comms channel...

"I Brought Doughnuts!"

Brobots using glitterstim are not actually using drugs but rather downloading stuff from the holonet that unfortunately had some unfortunate viruses attached.

While we're at it, why do droids get stressed? Or is the stress on the structure of the ship? But explain glitterstim and other cards then? 0r can the stress be on either? AHHHH!

Maarek Stele's ability to pick between 3 different crits when he gets a crit comes from the fact that he's apparently the only pilot who bothered to learn how to use the "Target Individual Components" feature that all ships are equipped with.

Funny, that's what I thought too...

Soontir Fel is one of those people who gets icy and calm when they get stressed or pissed off.

Rexler Brath doesn't take snap shots, he holds half a breath and waits for that perfect moment to shoot.

ST-321/Jendon give out combat orders to escort fighters.

Outlaw Tech: As the YV lurches into a taxing 2-turn or full engine stop, the entire hull begins to shudder and the pilot curses under their breath. From deep in the engineering deck, the angry cries of a Jawa mixes with the clang of tools and whirring of hydrospanners; the trusty tech diverted enough power that the pilot doesn't need to worry about it, they are free to Focus on the task at hand.

c3po can certainly get stressed :P ... and even my poor old laptop gets slow and erratic when theres too much going on at once. Same thing?

Yeah, too much going on taxes their CPU.

I thought THIS too... But that just sent me into a rabbit hole of Star Wars inconsistencies that I climbed out of.

And from the rear compartments comes the translated cries of "Seinar components...Incom components...ALL MADE ON KUAT!"

Redline spams missiles because he wasn't given any fun nukes to burn cities with.

Or heavy rockets.

Chewbacca repairs damage to a ship by plugging himself in the hole.

From the cockpit of the Moldy Crow, Kyle Katarn deftly executes another 2-turn (otherwise known as the Ka-turn) around an asteroid cluster, and calmly delivers orders over the com to his squadron...orders relayed through Jan Ors in the co-pilot seat, as she consults the scopes to deliver vital evasive maneuvers to their allies.

Bumping this thread because it's way more fun and interesting than the troll clickbaits and Wave 8-9 whining at the top of the main page.

Jake Ferrel has to focus to get Barrel Rolls because he's not good at them.

Tycho is a functioning caffeine junkie. Porkins sucks.

Nera Dantels can spin her B-wing around really really reaaaaally fast, and fling those torpedoes out in random directions.

Corran Horn doesn't double tap, he just has overcharged canons that are prone to overheating.

Etahn has laser designators linked to the targeting computers of his squad mates and they're able to focus fire on a vulnerable part of the target.

Leebo is able to interface directly with the Outrider, able to quickly divert power and reroute circuits as critical systems fail.

Dash used a large chunk of debris to fake his death after the battle over coruscant at Xizor's Skyhook, so it makes sense that he can deftly maneuver across them.

Han is a gambling man. If he's down on his luck, he makes his own.

When Boba Fett is working for the imperials, he's the ace in the hole. He's the tool with a little subtlety, able to maneuver more freely than the imperials' ponderous hammer of a fleet.

When Boba is working for Scum, he's the king of thugs. He's the guy you hire to make sure you've got the right gun for the job. Scum policies towards disintegrations are a bit more loose.

When Boba is crew, he's hired you. You're a pawn in his scheme. He'll risk your ship and your life to get him closer to his target. Once his bounty is vulnerable he strikes fast and bails, leaving his accomplices to clean up the mess.

Xizor doesn't actually do anything; anyone in his unit knows precisely what they owe him, and precisely what Black Sun would do to their relatives. Even less then loyal characters knows that Black Sun doesn't care for reasons.

Guri is direct and unflinching. She excels when she identifies a clear, direct threat.

Bossk has no sense of subtly, he just hammers the trigger rather then aiming for any particular component, pounding the ship with overwhelming firepower. Very useful for stripping shields, not so much for disabling vessels.

Boba has sheer reputation on his side. Most people hesitate when confronted by the fire spray, something that he exploits boldly.

Palob already stole a valuable component from everyone he's flying against. They just find out at the worst possible moment. XD
