Question about lore

By Ceispherus, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Community,

Someone told me this;

"well it's specifically mentions Ina deathwatch book( don't know which one) that the emporer effectively turns back time to save the squad"

That's the exact quote, don't blame me.

Can anyone confirm this w/ a source?

1 - He's a corpse so good luck with that.

2 - Time travel is very difficult and not an exact science due to the turbulent nature of the warp. It's often achieved by accident such as the famous story of the Ork Warboss Grizgutz who ended up going back in time by mistake, realised this and decided to find and kill himself so he could get a second copy of his favourite gun. He did this...and ceased to exist.

Unless they can cite where that sounds like a misinterpretation and I'd call bull on that.

That doesn't sound like anything in an official Deathwatch supplement. The books do refer to a mysterious Ordo Chronos of the inquisition but that's a huge step away from the Emperor intervening in anything directly.

Maybe it was not from the Deathwatch RPG , but from the Deathwatch novels ?

That was it! There's occasional mentions of them in Dark Heresy Ascension (one of the scroll text bits) and within the Black Crusade core rulebook.

The Ordo Chronos is another shadowy organisation dedicated to preserving the passage of time and preventing the manipulation of it due to warp anomaly as it could disrupt things away from the God Emperor's plan. There are mentions that Deathwatch have worked with them in the past on joint operations but at time of writing they have gone completely dark.
