They are in the list of dice, now (btw "White" dice might not be a good idea, because they will not show up well against the card background - white on white means invisible; I changed your white to be orange)

Edit: I changed by yellow/gold to green, because I feel like all the accuracy icons lean towards it being less dangerous and more utility, so the colors follow suit.

Sorry for being out so long. Been too busy. What is this about the custom dice? What are the details behind this idea?

No worries, man - its not anything here is a real obligation anyways.

Nothing too fancy except for what you see already - they are just dice with a different set of results and range brackets. Details of the concept are here: http://kdyards.com/reference.php - my Green (formally Yellow) are intended to be a stand-off debuff battery - use sparingly for balance sake, because too many and you will lock down ALL of your opponents defense tokens, but it can't be used at short range. (I'm toying with the idea of making it Long-range only instead of medium-long).

The Orange die is Cynan's looks like it is designed to be more of an All-or-nothing battery - higher miss chance, but oomphy if it does it.

As far as other things going on, I've added another defense token (and tweaked it since I last spoke about it on this thread) as well as another keyword as requested by someone. I'm still open to suggestions on SLAM, but every idea needs complex verbiage to make it work.

Is there any real point having two crits on the same dice side? I mean, you can only resolve 1 critical effect per attack anyway so shouldn't it just be a damage icon?

I like this idea of custom dice and I think both the orange and the green look cool.

Where can I make these or is it just admins? I prefer being a contributer anyway, the green writing looks better :P

I like the deflect token, I'm gonna make an upgrade card that revolves around it. What is the new token going to be like Foa?

I have an idea for a new squadron keyword Agile: While you are defending, before the "spend defense tokens" step, you may force the attacker to reroll 1 dice with an (accuracy) icon.

I also think that it would be nice to have upgrade cards for squadrons (this may sound dumb to people) like proton torpedo cards which allow you to add a blue dice set to (accuracy) while attacking a ship or Heat seeking missiles which would be something like : "After you resolve an attack targeting a squadron, you may roll 1 red dice. The defender then suffers damage = damage results. He cannot spend defense tokens during this attack. Then discard this card."

They would have limitations on what they could be put on, such as squadrons with swarm or with over 5 hull points.

See what you guys think. It may sound quite crazy though :S

(Edit: I did just think of a reason for having double crit dice. If you are using the cloak keyword that you find on KDY - basically it acts like a double hit at that point.)

Deflect is the new one. I changed the wording of it since the last time I brought it up, but I think I'm going to put it back to how it was.

Don't forget about Decoy, either.

I think upgrades on squadrons, while neat, could get logistically hairy - think of a poor imperial fleet with their 10 TIE fighters. Which one has this upgrade? which one has that upgrade, etc. I think its out of the scope of this scale's resolution. If you really want to have an "upgrated squadron" do what I did with my "Elite Pilots" make a variant squadron with your upgrade already added in and give it the Limited keyword.

This does make sense, but you realize that this really only works for squadrons with defense tokens - otherwise, you're taking a no-effect roll and opening up the chances to make do an additional point of damage - more often than not you're helping your attacker.

Well... What about Agile : While defending, before the attacker totals the damage, you may force the attacker to reroll 1 die with a (damage) icon.

and for elites Super-Agile: While you are defending, before the "spend defense tokens" step, you may force the attacker to reroll 1 die with an (accuracy) icon or 1 die with a (damage) icon.

I see your point about squad upgrades, and I kinda see the point of that orange die, although cloak isn't common on teh KDY right now?

Keep it simple.

Agile : You may have the attacker reroll one of their attack dice.

This way, you get to choose something that benefits you depending on the situation.

Cloak is not very common, no, but I know I have a couple plans for it, and I imagine a few others do too, and just because we don't see a use for it yet doesn't mean it will always be so. It still does the same as a hit/crit icon, which is no laughing matter.

There is pne Turbolasers upgrade, and one title "Salvation" that make use of multiple Crit Icons, in is not inconceivable that more will follow in future waves. The Orange is ment to replace blue on an Ion upgrade or title.

Alright, I've changed my mind (a little).

Here's what I'm going to do. I'm adding another field to the database that is accessible to admins only that will tell us if a card is "Official", "Pre-Release" or "Homebrew" (all cards created by non-admins will be "hombrew").

This will also let us differentiate between pre-release versions of cards and post-release versions (in case things change). I will probably work on this after work tomorrow, so I ask that you still hold off for right now.

I'm also considering adding a few other account types. "Artist" for example, which will give people the ability to add art to cards that aren't theirs (assuming that the owner gives permissions to do so).

BTW if anyone wants anything playtested (ei for your custom cards, upgrades, squadrons etc.) I am happy to be of assistance.

Just PM it to me on here and the list/ ships you want me to test it against and I will write a report for you afterwards.

Don't know if you were saving the mercenary faction for anything special, but here's something I came up with that uses the cloak keyword.
