I just posted an updated version of my scenario from the "Runebound League" thread to BoardGameGeek:
The main change is that items now sell and barter at (value-1) instead of (value/2). That makes money much more plentiful, so healing is easier, and bartering for items can be a good idea. It can now be a good tactic to spend a turn as a trader, bartering for items in one town so you can sell them in another. To compensate for the easier money, the price of a shop doubled, so the game is roughly as difficult as before.
