I received the core set as a gift along with Future Proof and What Lies Ahead. Looking for a semi-competitive deck list to go against my friends who have been playing for a bit. I plan on buying all the data packs and 2 more copies of the core set but for right now what can I do with core + Future Proof + What Lies Ahead? I really enjoy Haas-Bioroid and NBN and the Anarchs.

I don't know if you can get up to "semi-competitive" without more cards. I would advise you to freely proxy what you might want to try out so you don't feel pressure to buy ALL THE THINGS so soon. Also, two core sets is sufficient these days.
