Who needs vassal to see the replay in 15-30 minutes, when you can watch the replay on twitch, in a solid 2 hour block? Featuring technical errors, bad microphones, stupid commentary, and horrible pictures from the darkest reaches of the internet.
Just finished watching Clone and JJ's games. Really interesting to watch. I don't think i've seen any players use the speed 0 before.
Great work Biggs on setting up the stream and record.
Have just received my first 2 Raiders and am pretty keen to try a fit out inspired by Clone against the player base here in Auckland.

The problem with your "he's beaten everybody else that I didn't expect him to" analysis, I think, is that Mag has lots of points tied up in anti-squadron, which has helped him in every elimination game up till now, but will do him no good here. That deployment advantage well help him, but I don't think it'll be enough. Demo will crush whichever ship deploys first, leaving the other one with 4 Raiders to address.
I'm rooting for you, Mag, but this is Clon's jam right here.

Although cutters fleet was very similar
Nah, I play Cutter regularly: that fleet relies on those Firesprays for quite a bit of his firepower; his two Raiders are practically naked;
and
he only brought three activations to the table. I don't think you'll be able to treat Clon's list like Cutter's and win it.

Actually, cutter had 4 activations. And the Demolisher has more or less the same kit/ last-first activation ability, sans intel, that makes clons list so dangerous.

This was a fun formula, but it is also a lot of effort. If I run it again, I'd probably sit out from the start, and work on steaming games / TOing.
Not sure what the next tournament will look like, or if I will run it, or anything beyond tonight. A group of us have some ideas percolating around for regular non-tournament events, and discussions are ongoing for that.

BTW, I would throw my hat in the ring on the next event now that I have a few vassal games under my belt. This looked like a great event and I wish I had tried to get in on it.
