Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to present to you, the casual and veteran players of A Game of Thrones: The Card Game this invitation from the AGoT New York meta to the fifth Black Friday event, coming this November. What follows is the details of the event, presented by Night's Watch Jason Nicoll aka Stag Lord:

The skulls ranged upward in size to the three great monsters of song and story, the dragons that Aegon Targaryen and his sisters had unleashed on the Seven Kingdoms of old. The singers had given them the names of gods: Balerion, Meraxes, Vhaghar. Tyrion had stood between their gaping jaws, wordless and awed. You could have ridden a horse down Vhaghar's gullet, although you would not have ridden it out again. Meraxes was even bigger. And the greatest of them, Balerion, the Black Dread, could have swallowed an aurochs whole, or even one of the hairy mammoths said to roam the cold wastes beyond the Port of Ibben.

In Balerion’s name, the Lords of the East gather for the test of autumn. The annual A Game of Thrones LCG “Black Friday” competition hosted by the Long Island and New York City organized AGoT LCG players returns for its fifth consecutive year this November 27, 2009 .

Location: Cranberry Café (second floor private room), which hosted Kingsmoot in the East this past July. Cranberry Cafe' is located at 115 West 45th Street (between 6th Avenue and Broadway), New York, New York 10036. Several garages for parking (for a fee) are nearby and there is a Holiday Inn Express located a short walk away on 45th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. Format: LCG Joust with approximately four rounds of Swiss pairing followed by a cut to one or more final rounds to crown the champion. (Number of qualifiers for the cut round(s) will be determined by the number of participants.) The competition will commence at 12:30pm. Prizes: The champion will receive the Black Friday Cup. Additional prizes will be given to other top finishers. All participants will receive a Black Friday V t-shirt and current Storyline ballot (while supplies last). (Pre-registration is not necessary, however, if you are interested in attending, it is strongly encouraged that you email the organizers at [email protected] with your name and t-shirt size no later than November 13th to help ensure adequate quantities are on hand.)
