Several questions from today's game

By Bludgeon, in Talisman Rules Questions

1. Can Burglar burgle a potion from apothecary? Is potion's cost 1 gold? And does he choose what he wants from the deck? That's rather overpowered as there are potions that give +1 strength/craft permanently.

Apothecary (city space) http://www.talismanwiki.com/Apothecary

2. Vampire Hunter's first ability. Can it be used when he lands on a space and draws 1 card that is an event? I'm asking because with event I'm unsure if you can discard it from your space.

3 Nomad's 1st ability. Does it include space's name?

3 Nomad's 1st ability. Does it include space's name?

1. We have played this as the burglar does not know which potion is which so they are drawn at random, just like normal. Yes, they cost 1 gold per piece.

2. Very simple, yes. Any card that is not an enemy may be discarded.

3. I am trying to think of a place/event/instance where this would matter? But I would say, the name of the space would remain the same. I say this because every space has a "name", there are no generic spaces. I think the intent of the ability was to just remove text like the temple, black knight, etc.

3. I am trying to think of a place/event/instance where this would matter?

For example, Nomad encounters a Woodland Drake in Woods, which gives it +3 to craft. If he changes all printed text including name, then Woodland Drake is no longer in the Woods for this turn, and has craft of only 6.

This was already asked once. The space text clearly suggests that you are "buying Potions" there, even though the process is a bit different if compared to other shops. First you buy, then you know what you get.

The Cat Burglar should be allowed to burgle at the Apothecary and the cost of each Potion is 1G. However, when it comes to "choose 1 Object that is available to purchase from the encounter", you should follow the rules for Shop Cards as detailed in the Shop Decks subsection of the manual:

If an encounter allows a character to gain or take a card from the Potion, Pet, or Wanted Poster deck for free, he must draw the top card of the deck.

It requires some interpretation, but I cannot see anything wrong with following this rule for burgling at the Apothecary.

3 Nomad's 1st ability. Does it include space's name?

This is an interesting question, even though I see the special ability as self-explanatory.

The point is: does the space text include the name of the space? As every Talisman player knows, "Draw 1 Card. Do not draw a card if there is already one in this space." is the space text on many spaces. It should be self-evident that only the small text may be replaced by this text.

The space name is another thing and it triggers different effects. If designers meant to replace the space name as well, they would have given an alternative name for the space when the Nomad ability is used.

Thanks, those solutions are reasonable to me.
