Hey guys,

I'm new to X-wing, and really have no idea where to start as far as building a good squadron goes. I'm into more armada and bought heavily into it but this is cheaper with a ton of options and it's slightly overwhelming as to where I need to start.

I have both core sets (TFA and original) if that helps.

What would be some suggestions you guys would offer? I'm open to any faction.

though there is a lot of information there its well worth reading to get a feel of what you might like to start getting int the game.

however there are a few posts and forums (their location escapes me right now) where there are buying guides as to what to buy when.

This may sound a bit lame but if you're just playing for fun and not competitive get what you like. Make any list from what you have on hand and it will probably be a good time. To me making a list and watching it succeed or fail, sometimes in epic fashion, is a big part of the fun.
