By aslum, in UFS Rules Q & A

Am I wrong here? The static text doesn't actually accomplish anything.

2.13.2 Effects will last until the end of the turn they are played unless otherwise stated.

It's pretty infrequent that cards are readied during the end phase.

I imagine someone will come up w/ some creative interpretation of the rules to make it actually useful, otherwise the card probably needs errata.

Except the effect isn't played as stated by the rule. It will therefore always be on.

Its basically a those cards are never readied until that card is destroyed. If both players have a named card all copies are commited.

What Alex said. The ability is never played, so the duration rule doesn't apply.

This I know to be untrue beyond a shadow of a doubt. Unable to ready is not the same as committed.

er. I meant that they are unable to ready until that asset is gone. I'm just having a tired day sorry if anyone got confused.

Each people just names a card and those cards (If commited) are unable to ready until that asset is destroyed.
