QUESTION
---------------------------------

PLAYER 1 (FIRST PLAYER) HAS JUST WON AN UNOPPOSED INTRIGUE CHALLENGE VS. PLAYER 2 WITH Grand Maester Pycelle AS THE LONE ATTACKING CHARACTER.

PLAYER 2 AS A REACTION TO 4.2.2 PLAYS Like Warm Rain.

WHEN 4.2.5 RESOLVES, Grand Maester Pycelle IS IN THE DEAD PILE.

DOES PLAYER 1 DRAW A CARD FOR THE INSIGHT KEYWORD?

First of all, let me complement you on looking through the timing charts etc - you've got a grasp already on some of the intricacies (e.g. Like Warm Rain preceding claim) that people don't often grasp at first glance.

Anyway, short answer : No. The insight keyword's resolution is as follows (RR, p10 " After a player wins a challenge, for each participating

character with the insight keyword he or she controls, that player may draw 1 card. "). As Pycelle is dead and no longer participating, you do not get to draw for Insight.

Perhaps an even better example of that timing would be Cersei Lannister. While she is participating in an int challenge , the claim is raised by 1. If you kill her with like Warm Rain, she ceases to be participating. At the next step (4.2.4) when we apply claim result, it won't be affected by Cersei's ability.
