So there is this Space 19 Rumor that makes you put a monster on Field Nr 19 from time to time and when there are 4 or more monsters on this space the Elder One awakens (Doom is set to 0) But you may fight the monsters on this space.

What if you draw a monster like the elder thing that is put to another space? Does it count to these 4 monsters or not? Naturally I would say no since the monster is physically not on this space (on the board and on the game) So if you draw an elder thing or the yeti you just had luck and the rumor's bad effect could be delayed ?

No, it doesn't count.

When in doubt have in mind the following principle: The game doesn't require you to remember past events.

In the situation you described, you have an Elder Thing on Antarctica. If it should count for the rumor, then you would have to remember whether this particular monster was spawned by the rumor or by any other effect.

The only thing players are required to remember, are the game rules. The state of the game can always be checked.

You don't have to remember which monsters were spawned by the rumor, in the same way you don't have to remember how many doom is left, or who is the first player.

If a fact is relevant for more than one game turn, a marker or a card provides reference for that.

On the other hand if a monster is put there by a different effect (for example a Mi-Go goes there for a clue) it would count.

As the reckoning of monsters is resolved first: You may have 2 monsters there, then a monster reckoning moves a third monster there, then mythos reckoning puts fourth monster there, and the rumor goes off.
