I don't see no wave 10 preview in that kit

I was so overwhelmed by today's offerings that I couldn't even make a joke about the whereabouts of the Partisan X-Wing until now.

It should be the Upsilon Shuttle today if we get a preview, as they usually follow the pattern in the wave announcement article. I'm hoping we get to see what the Upsilon's dial looks like, as that's going to be a make or break for the ship I think. (I'm hoping that the green 2 bank we can see on the dial is an indication of a white 2 turn.)

Well, if we assume it is the counter to the U-Wing, it will get a stationary 0 , as they are both Military shuttles. Rebel uses the U-Wing basicly as a dropship, and the Wiki entry for the shuttle claims its built more for combat compared to the older Imperial Shuttle, so....yea, thats just what Im thinkin

I don't see why that's an assumption we should make, it's not a counter to the U wing, it's its own thing. The U Wing is almost a direct analogy to the Lambda, not the Oopsie.

It's much closer to the Ghost actually, and if we get a ghost-style dial I'd be gleeful.

I'd be surprised not to see a stop on it though.

I believe that the U wing is the Rebel Lambda and as such, we will not see a Tyderium (or how ever you spell it) title for it.

However, why a dedicated troop transport was only given a crew space of two is beyond me.

I think the next preview will be the Shuttle, the last will be the Quadjumper because that will have the most impact.

Just remember that the amount of crew space in ships is REALLY not indicative of the number of people they can hold - the Lambda, for instance, gets 3 or 4 people in its cockpit alone, 10 or so in its belly. The Decimator has space for like 15 and sleeps 10 or more.

Plus the Y Wing and /sf both have copilots/gunners who are represented by... you know, the guns working. Crew slots represent additional capacities which are not being fulfilled by the people normally on board.

I'm hoping we get the Striker today, I want to know how many I want to preorder. I know I'm getting an Oopsie and a Quad.

Yeah, you could probably carry a dozen or so people on the Falcon, but they're not all going to be sitting in the cockpit doing something useful.

This reminded me of Han Solo at Stars End when, after rescuing dozens of prisoners Han has no idea how to transport to them in the Falcon (he was only planning to jail-break one prisoner at the time). Luckily they heroes figured out a way.

I would to see some crew cards from those early Han Solo novels, plus scummy Han and Chewie, and Lando!

I was looking through the prize support and noticed the wording on Day 2

" Day 2 Participants: Each player receives a set of acrylic Weapons Disabled tokens. Locking a ship out of its ability to shoot is a powerful effect and these bright, reflective tokens are sure to remind both players when a ship is not able to bring its weapons to bear!"

The wording that caught my attention was "Locking a ship out" which sounds like an offensive ability, rather then "loosing the ability" which is what I would think is what the K-wing would be worded if that was all it was for.

Well to be fair, the X-Wing PC Games had a "Jamming Beam" which could prevent ships weapons from firing. Most often seen in action when encountering a large ship or installation at very close range (one?)

We've seen the Tractor Beam, maybe the Jamming Beam could be next.

Pretty sure this is baseless, but I do believe FFG is realizing its probably better to keep the majority of the dials hidden to assure ships don't get proxied heavily before release in general. I actually prefer it this way. Keeps the release fresh in some way. I feel they reveal a good bit too much as is anyways.

I, too, wish EVERYTHING wasn't spoiled before hand. I like knowing a lot, and love reveal articles in general (look for one every day, even though I know it won't happen), but I also wouldn't mind being surprised by an upgrade or two.

Do people think we'll get a new product announcement at World's? Seems like SWX58 might be due unles The Mouse wants it after Rogue One release.

I don't think so. It's not in their habit to do so, and if this is Rogue One related, it'll be out when the film is out.
