Putting the preview off this long makes the name 'Punishing one' a bit ironic...

I have a tournament on saturday and a day off combined with X-Com 2 tomorrow. That's enough to keep me busy... and that would be the perfect time to put a preview, just so I won't see it and only realize after all the fun and "OMG" moments have passed. It would be unfortunate for me, but I could live with it (and so could everyone else, I'd imagine).

I actually just picked up Xcom in the humble bundle last week. Played the original almost 10 years after it came out and loved it. So far have had nothing but good times with the reboot. I like the sound of the sequel and might be willing to spend actual monies on it at some point.

I'd be surprised if they reveal the dial, I gather they usually hold one back per wave, but I'd expect to get all but one other card - and given that all the pilots have now been spoiled elsewhere, I doubt there's any mileage in holding those back, so I'd guess we'll see everything but GONK, Boba or Dengar crew, and the dial.

I REALLY hope it's today, but sadly I feel like it won't be given that my FLGS would usually have been notified of their incoming for next week by now, and would have told us our pre-orders were on their way if it was...

But seriously, it's been about 3 weeks between each wave 8 preview (starting with Lothan Rebels part 1). It doesn't seem like that long because release articles for the Gozanti and the Imperial Veterans announcement have been interrupting them. The Punishing One article is only a few days late so far.

I haven't expected Wave 8 to be on sale any earlier than late February, since it's usually roughly 6 months from a Fantasy Flight Games announcement release, and 1 quarter after the predicted release quarter. This was always going to be an early spring 2016 release.

Well, the dial is the biggest thing about this ship, since it's the first asymmetrical dial in the game, so they should spoil it.

But, just the JM5000 pilots, the new "Rage" elite pilot talent, the "Attani Mindlink" is stuff for at Full story. Then, there is the whole new "Gonk" droid, the discussion of this new mechanic (I hope) for health regen/shield stacking, which will lend itself to a lot of discussion...

AND then there is the Boba Fett crew card, I cannot wait to see what he brings to the table. Somehow I really hope he is going to be a game changer for Scum and Villainy ;-D
