I haven't been paying too much attention to media but is there an anticipated Solo movie trailer during the Super Bowl this weekend? Possibly waiting until a trailer is released before announcing product? (That is assuming the next X-Wing news would be Solo related)

Eh, given FFGs lack of info and their track record for releasing stuff, expect maybe some Han Solo goodies announced around May.

So based on that formula we should see announcements 3 months before May, which is February.
Personally I’m happy with X-Wing being quiet right now. Let them push Legion for a while and allow them time to produce good, well balanced products. Also, in the last 7 months we’ve received 9 new expansions.

No the track record of this being the doldrums season. Unless you really want a 4th falcon expansion to put names to “ace gunslinger” and “hairy co-pilot”.

I think Anchors means that they'll make a Falcon expansion before the movie, with fake pilot names and then another one after the movie with the actual named pilots, kind of a joke on how we had "Red Ace" and "Blue Ace", etc., before TFA, and then another couple packs to get Jess Pava and Snap Wexley after the movie.

Well that would be still the third one. And the fourth one would have the real names. It doesn't hold up. We can make fun of it still!

I just think it was worded a little funny. Anchors meant that if you want a Falcon pack now , that'll be the third pack, and have "ace gunslinger" and "hairy copilot". Then , after that, we'll have to get a fourth Falcon pack to "put names to" those pilots.
Not arguing Anchors is right about this being the doldrums season, I personally expect the floodgates to open for X-Wing news really soon here. But I think just the second sentence of that post actually made sense.

Implying that we’ll get a 3rd in time for the new movie, and then a 4th with names of actual characters from the movie.... like they did with a certain X-wing variant.

It might be the first FFG Star Wars game I don't buy, just because I'm sick of having it shoved in my face.
Kind of like how I refuse to ever buy a Bud Lite, because of the sheer quantity, repetition, and annoyance of their ads. (And the fact that it's basically watered-down urine in a can is also a factor...)

I think it will be a while before we get any X-Wing news, which I think is a good thing. Let’s all just sit back and enjoy the game? When we spend all of our energy worrying about the future we risk not enjoying the present.
