To be more specific re the Kim, it is the g1-a 2 if not taking missiles

Otherwise, it's the deadeye SCURRG 2

Not sure which config will be more useful, honestly. The ship seems more made for ordnance NOT because reload (too slow, no way yet to speed it up ala boat) but because bullseye and the fact that Bs just melt so quickly

Either way, nothing we haven't seen before other than sometimes denying mods

Tiny ARC 2.0 is almost guaranteed to just be r3a2 gunner Ezra

Wait, there’s other ships in the next wave besides GUNBOAT? I vaguely recall something about another prequel ship and something like a beige lump of plastic next to GUNBOAT, but her glory blinded me too much.

oh, they did move up those TLJ boxes, didn’t they. What a crowded wave.

I’m just not seeing it. It’s about as survivable as a TIE Punisher. It probably has a great dial, and it benefits from droids, but it’s going to be easier to kill than a TIE Bomber.

As I’ve said many, many, times, you can fit four Gamma Squadron Veterans with Deadeye, Extra Munitions, Cruise Missiles, and Guidance Chips into 100 points. It’s not a great list, but it does decently. That’s my ordnance benchmark. If something’s not as good as that, it’s not good at ordnance.

I think trading 1 agi for 2 HP makes a Caligula Fighter easier to kill than a TIE Bomber. Given you can’t fit four into a list, I think it’s definitely worse. I’ll be happy to be proven wrong, but like I said, I’m just not seeing it.

While I love the boat, it's more for gameplay reasons than nostalgia. Mechanically, it is just more unique and interesting

Apart from Astro and crew stuff in the tiny ARC, gotta say TALJ ships look far more interesting

New resistance bomber is probably too balanced to see play over miranda, but bomb launches sound fascinating and we got more ship specific upgrades to look forward to

TIE silencer honestly isn't THAT unique, but the model is incredibly bad *** and the tech slot is currently hankering for more fun and useful toys. There's a lot of design space to fill there

Conversely, the next preview will be the Kimo, going on the logic that it's the next one in the original Wave 12 article.

Either way I'd be surprised if we don't get something today, either a preview or an announcement about either regionals or System Opens.

Hopefully both.

unless one of the new upgrades gives it any lease on life, in which case the preview will still be about the upgrades :P

I can see PS11 coordinate being good and Fenn being a giant PITA, but we know about those already.

The upgrades will be key, especially flight control astromech.

only problem with Rau is the rather hilarious amount of text

which doesn't reflect on the ship's gameplay capability at all, but I do find it funny that there's a mini-trend starting between him and Saturation Salvo

Rau could indeed be okay, though, depending on how hard ordnance ends up coming back with harpoon missiles. He won't stop them from firing, but it will sharply cut down on all but the most lucky damage. But 20 points is a lot, and I don't see him being worth it at all without a secondary function.

You put him with Black One Poe for PS11 TL clearance.

or, perhaps more to the point, use him to mitigate the low PS target lock issue with ordnance...

Black1 poe isn't going to help with DEADEYE harpoons

Rau will because the big draw of harpoons is they can use their required token to modify their dice

Only once per round but it can help mitigate some damage and potentially miss altogether. Could be a good pair with Low

Cmon Silencer preview! PLEASE!!!!

Today: Phantom II preview around 1:45 EST. Prepare.

I'd bet on the Kimo, personally, but I'd be surprised if we don't see something today.

I'm just hoping it's a preview AND an article about upcoming organised play stuff. We really need Regionals and System Opens info.

Regional prize announcement for X-Wing, and heck, all the other SW games? Three weeks until the first US regional and we don't know what the prizes are. Reminds me of 2016 US nationals...just show up and you'll know what the prizes are 5 minutes before round 1

I think Kihraxz fighters have a new illicit. That cybernetics is wonderful news for Harpoon launchers!

Round 1 shoot your missiles. Something dies. (maybe one of yours) Reload using scavenger crane.

Round 2 K-turn and fire again. EVERYONE DIES!

Can't take both crane and cybers. Only 1 Illicit...
