So this was really interesting. In the vassal league slack, someone participating in Canadian nationals shared an email they received (presumably from FFG OP? At least that's what I thought was going on?) about FAQ rulings that would be in place EVEN if a new FAQ was released.
I thought it was really... odd? Idk. I'll have to investigate more. Only caught a glimpse of the conversation. Maybe I should have went back and reviewed it before posting this lol.

I'm not sure I understand the wording. Are we talking previous FAQ rulings that won't be change, therefore implying that some will?

"Those registered for Canadian Nationals got an e-mail stating how some non-FAQ covered rulings would go, Genius was mentioned as being triggerable even when Ioned"
probably nothing, but interesting they do this now instead of for all nationals

Does FFG OP run the Canadian nationals themselves, or is it just the store//event hosting that runs it? My impression was that it was just a list of “here’s how we’re ruling on these questionable things since we don’t have official rulings from ffg”. As far as I know the rulings themselves didn’t actually come from ffg

This was highlighted prior to the UK Nationals as well. Before event began, they announced the official ruling on Genius (as above) and a couple of other thing.
They were just covering common rulings that haven't so far featured in a FAQ to save time during the event itself, that's all.

Read the article. They have instituted a restricted list where you cannot have more than one card from the list in your deck. (If you take Nym, you can't also have TLT. You can take Dengar but not K4.) Also a removed list. Curious if this attitude applies to X-wing...
Ffg please stop posting news articles about other ugly uninteresting games and give us the GLORYBOAT.

We can only hope... unfortunately, FFG will likely continue with their current method of nerfing this or that card in an attempt to balance stuff out without specifically addressing the root problems.
