Which preview will be out today?

I don't trust frank because his emails have been wrong. But I agree with him on this. Still, two cluster bombs or Connor nets placed on the map at turn zero is nice, and you would still have bombs to fire off during the game.

I think it's less that his emails have been wrong, so much as his email responses indicate how things currently work based on the rules, then errata come out later to change it to how it's intended to work instead.

In some cases. In others he's just been wrong e.g. GONK.

GONK FOREVER.

REMEMBER GONK.

NEVER FORGET.

Do you think there's a chance for something big today? There was only one news article today, and there wasn't the normal early morning article, so maybe they're working on something big?

Or maybe they're just sleeping it off after Labor Day weekend.

If it takes you three days to sleep off a three day holiday weekend...then you are doing it right!

i think we will see something tomorrow or Monday, hopefully GUNBOAT, but it might be an announcement for the last Jedi ships.

just guessing at this point.

This. Based on their other games (and designers), I'm pretty sure it's the official FFG policy- even if the rules are riddiculous, if that's how they work then that's how they work until they fix it in the next errata (FAQ).

I'm betting they're hot-boxing a broom closet brainstorming the next uber-OP Scum ship.

Think they asked about this at a national level event to Frank and he said you can't discard the tokens and the bombs.

I dont understand why things like that are not adressed before release. It's not like the potential interaction wasnt obvious. Same thing happened with Mareek/Kylo. Does it really take months to rule those things? Dont they take cards interaction into account when designing them?

There wouldn't usually be anything other than release articles on a thursday.

Today maybe.

I don't get this either. Given that they preview MONTHS in advance, they have plenty of time to identify stuff prior to release and schedule FAQ releases immediately afterwards. It always irritates me when something drops and there's not an FAQ the next day.

Come on, we need that bloody FAQ !

I bet they will save the Gunboat preview for last, just to make us suffer a final time.

I'd be shocked to see any Wave 12 previews until late october. Except for the inevitable TLJ tie ins which I wouldn't be surprised to see today.

So (and take this with a grain of salt) the preview articles for Waves VIII, IX, and X happened in the same order as their product numbers. Wave XI was a bit all over the place, and I'm not sure why it bucked the trend, but I'm willing to get my hopes up for a preview sooner rather than later (get those EU ship previews in now before the TLJ hype train hits cruising speed).

There's a preview!

For GoTTCG :(

heck for MTG, Wizards ban some cards even before they are released...

Is it wrong that I actually hate every non-StarWars game that FFG makes with a passion, for this exact reason?

Edit: this post was in reply to thespaceinvader, not thormind...

The FAQ is a lie and we're still alive

I think they should change it up and for the first article reveal all 3 dials but not tell us which is which.

A later article should give a brief summary of their meta expectations for these ships. By telling us to look 'over there' first, we won't look 'over here' and find the broken combos as quickly.

That would be hilarious.

TLJ Ships!

Just when I accepted my lot in life (no news this week), they pull me back in.....

Oh come on! 3 Star Wars articles today and none of them X-Wing?!

Monday will have Armada, Legion, and LCG articles.

So...preview article for wave 12 or announcement of what the missing product number is first?
