Yeah, I was super hype for legion but the more they preview the less I care. I might pick up an ATST for display, but I can probably get a better model cheaper by just buying a model.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but even in late March we won't get X-Wing news. That's when they'll start hyping the next Destiny set. Plus, you know, Armada and Imp Assault still exist. I assume Imp Assault will see a huge uptick in news articles once Legion gets released and is too expensive for most people. Then after that, there'll be Legion Wave II spoilers, and then another Rebellion expansion for the new movies, and then the third Destiny set of the year, and then more Legion and Destiny stuff for Christmas. If FFG plays their cards right, we won't see any X-Wing news until 2019!

70 days of no real news and 170+ of no "new content" goes from feeling like "kinda nice to have a lull" to "is the game dead and no one told us?" pretty fast...especially on the internet...forums...

Even a "We're taking a step back because" announcement would be something.

Or

"Here are the missing SKUs and even though they'll never be (or here's where they could be in the future)" would acknowledge that the game has a future.

ok this is bugging me. I'm able to live and enjoy the present and I'm able to simultaneously look forward to the future. This is a thread for the 2nd part. There are many threads for the first part. Why are you here if you don't understand this? Don't tell me how I must behave towards this game, you don't get to make this call for others!

edit- this is directed at those who tell me I should not look forward to news because it interferes with playing with the ships I have now. I disagree that there's any interference!

Nothing and its good. So do we expect something major changes to xwing or are they just out of viable ships for now?

If this year would see only one expansion, what would you like it to be? Im going to call Epic for Scum, nice "neutral" expansion that would let them time to straighten their game.

What are you talking about?
Last I heard game is alive as long as there are people willing to play it, tournaments and community around it. I don't have to brainlessly buy one thing after another to feel that game is alive.

Seriously, if people are enthused enough to buy all the tickets without any prior knowledge of the prizes, and the event's in 3.5 months, it would be pretty nice to know what those prizes are.

But then again, OP have been REALLY Bad recently about getting the prize announcements up

To be fair they have been pretty busy organising a rather large increase in System Open events year-on-year - the events this year are bigger, better and there's a lot more of them. I know they were advertising a position in Organised Play in the UK recently, but they're probably as well staffed as the X-Wing product team is (i.e. a small number of people doing a **** of a lot of work).

Edit: seriously, censoring the Christian version of Hades must cause a lot of problems on the DOOM forum.

I blame management, not the workers, but it's a problem regardless.

We're halfway through Q1 now and we don't even know what the Q1 kit IS, let alone when we're going to get it, and several Regionals took place prior to the kits being available.

It's really not good. C'mon FFG, spend some of that sweet sweet star wars cash on doing this a bit better.

My local regionals sold out faster than ever this year. The game isn’t dead.

Kind of like how I refuse to ever buy a Bud Lite, because of the sheer quantity, repetition, and annoyance of their ads. (And the fact that it's basically watered-down urine in a can is also a factor...)

I love the miniatures but after giving up 40K I am loathe to take on another war game that takes hours to play and costs $$$$ to get and hours and hours to paint. Right now it’s a hard pass.

you and I are in the same boat. I don't want to go down that rabbit hole and will avoid it at all costs. I tried 4ok when I was a kid, but bought into battletech because it seemed cheaper. NEVER AGAIN

Well if we go off how FFG treated the last 3 movies, we should get a wave 14 announcement any day now. It will then be followed up a few weeks later with another announcement that wave 14 will also include two more ships from the Solo movie.

Imperial and Scum Falcon, RZ-2, new TIE variant, TIE Reaper, new T-65 expansion please.
