Gencon is in 7 weeks. Heroes will definitely be there. I would also imagine that they will also have some Wave 9 there as well. I suspect we will be getting a good stream of previews leading up to Gencon.

No source, but given the history, they are more likely to have Heroes than not. Wave IX is a bit more of a toss up. But given we have seen ships in packaging, it seems to be further along than we might think.

Well... according to the upcoming page, it just went "on the boat" YESTERDAY. (ROFL, but NO SERIOUSLY, go to the upcoming page and see" On the Boat, Latest Update 6/9/2016).
I guess that means the boat forgot to unload it and when it got back to China they had a D'OH! moment and it is now on its second trip!
So.... yeah... maybe for Halloween.

You know what? I might lose my status as Gunboat Prophet saying this, but I'd be quite happy if they DID actually announce that the Gunboat will never come out. At least then we'd know for sure.
Because then I'd pick up a couple of 99p Cutlass Squadron Pilot cards and tiles from the secondary market, and a couple of very expensive Gunboat models from one of those lovely people at that alternative venue, paint them up and proxy the hell out of them.
But while there's no official word either way, there's uncertainty. And while there's uncertainty, there's hope. And while there's hope, you're just going to have to put up with the Gunboat thread I'm afraid!
I have a Kwing since I figured that would never happen... And an ETA-2 (unlikely)... And a Fanblade fighter (sadly unlikely, because it's awesome and distinctive).

Well at that cost they would have at least seen some use, at 34 points you either buy Ryad instead or spend the one point to upgrade to Vessery or Stele. There is no room for a generic Defender at 34 points.
