Once they preview the Jumpmaster, what else is there?

They have already revealed about as much as they are going to when it comes to Imperial Veterans . . . we have no incoming Huge Ships nor a whiff of wave 9 . . so . . is this it? We frantically beg for a preview of the last ship of wave 8 and then what, we beg for Wave 9?

What if they don't give us any information about Wav 9 until Imperial Veterans is released, what are we going to do then?? We are screwed man, . . .screwed . .

Nothing. JM5K is probably the release announcement rather than a preview in the strictest sense of the word, so it's probably being held til release.

And release is looking more and more delayed at the moment.

I'm hoping we'll see a wave 9 announcement in the spring, but who knows, we might have have to play x-wing until we hear more!

They can still tell us more about the Baroness. Also we only assume Mereks ability mirrors that of his tie advance ability.

Yeah, there's very little they can say about Imperial Veterans given that it has two pilots in from older expansions whose abilities don't seem to have changed, so it looks like there's maybe two pilots that haven't been spoiled and a couple of details about costs and slots for the generics, but that's really it.

I've heard rumours that it was only announced because someone leaked it, assuming that's the case they presumably wouldn't have announced it this early or completely if it hadn't been leaked.

Don't you think an article listing just the Baroness and Maarek abilities is a little of a cop out? I mean, they have showed every upgrade card from that fan bar Systems Officer and they generally like to leave at least one or two cards unspoiled per release.

Whilst they could also confirm that Glaive Sqd really is a PS6 with Elite, we already kind of know that.

Annoyingly, the one I wanted to see the most was Dengar . . Well played FFG. .

There's only one pilot from an older expansion - Maarek Stele in a TIE Defender. The other two Defender pilots are new: Countess Ryad and the Glaive Squadron Pilot. All the TIE Bomber pilots are new: Tomax Bren, "Deathfire", and the Gamma Squadron Veteran. Along with one or two unspoiled upgrade cards, there is enough content for a preview article.

Actually, with Hera and Maarek Stele as examples, it seems that pilots which fly different ships in the same faction have the same pilot ability. This seems to indicate that it is not Deathrain.

Unlikely given that the PS is very different, the wording of the ability seems to be different (from what little we can see), and that there is a known TIE/sa pilot from the EU with the callsign "Deathfire". The designers have made it clear that they don't like repeating pilots, but Hera made too much sense not to double up on and people have been begging for Maarek in a Defender since day one. What makes "Deathrain" special enough to deserve a duplicate?

Unless you have some information that everyone else doesn't, I don't see how you can declare that a repeat "Deathrain" is almost certain when all the evidence is against that.
