I'm kinda anxious to hear about colored bases and dial upgrades...
But I want the bottom half of the Tractor Beam rule card to get revealed too.
And I think FFG is about to announce some new stuff... I can feel it.

Mist Hunter Friday.
Punishing One 1/15.
Release by 2/1.
Just about this. IIRC quite a few of the previous waves have gone on sale the last weekend of the month.
I'd expect a wave summary/strategy preview article following the JM5K, then on sale the next week. Seems legit.

I would love to hear about new stuff and an article about the bases/dial fluffers......... After we get all of wave 8 previewed and into my greedy mitts.
Considering this just popped up, I'd expect a preview today:
https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/198130-new-g-1a-pilot-spoiled-4-lom/
Scenario 1:
Opportunist
Palob as a buddy
profit at range 1 and give a stress as a parting gift
Scenario 2:
Outlaw Tech optional
Use the probably numerous red moves
Block
Give stress
K-Turn and deny a k-turn next turn
Scenario 3:
Elusiveness? I dunno. PTL?

Stay On Target?
Bossk crew maybe? Superb comeback from a miss - gain focus, TL, and give stress to a R1 opponent.
Makes me really wonder what the 4-LOM crew does, because Dengar has a juicy crew slot just waiting to buff the heck out of his double taps.
Release in 2 weeks would be INSANE.An FLGS owner just put a link to this on Facebook, claiming that it typically means release is imminent. He expects 14 days or less.
So Mist Hunter Article this week, Punishing One next week, and then the release article at the start of the following.
Unless, of course, he is wrong.
And totally throw off the meta just in time for most of the store championships.
Oh. Yes.
Isn't stuff usually 'on the boat' for at least a few weeks once previews are done? I have only been around for wave 7 release, but IIRC it was released quite a bit after previews were done
Wave 8 has been on the boat since at least 12/16, maybe longer: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/upcoming/
I *think* I remember wave 7 was about 1-2 weeks after the last preview. Assuming a preview today/tomorrow and another next week...we're looking at the end of the month, which is what the stores seem to be saying as well.
Needs to be one of the bounty hunters! Feels like at least 4 consecutive Reb/Imp previews now.
Scum are still a thing, guys.
Previews are always in the same order as the announcement article. Next will be the G1A for Scum.
Nooooooo! F&D today.
But another leak...Tel Trevura - the first time you are destroyed, discard all damage cards and receive 4 face down damage cards.

Sourcebook for Seekers eh... Harry Potter will be happy with that one.
But no surprise. Think most all of us expected it tomorrow and not today.
I finally had a chance to play IA. FFG now has me wanting to play four games when I can barely afford the time or money for one.
There's only one solution: create a campaign the intertwines X-Wing, Imperial Assault, and Armada together.

You joke but we were thinking about playing out an armada game and whenever a squadron would do combat we set up an x-wings game using the same ships to play out all the combat scenarios for Armada.

To be honest, I was only half joking. If I actually had the money for Imperial Assault and Armada, along with the free time to both plan and play it all, I'd absolutely do this.
Already figured the Armada fighters = hop over to X-Wing to determine. Naturally, the kind of fighters/upgrades in Armada would shape the list you had to use.
I'd also want branching scenarios, events happening simultaneously, ect. So for example:
1. If Luke is in the sky having a dogfight with Red Squadron, he also can't be down below on Hoth or some such.
2. However, maybe if Luke gets shot down you have to create an IA scenario where Luke crash lands and has to fight off Imperial forces trying to capture him down below.
Stuff like that. But my knowledge of IA, and to a lesser extent Armada, are both pretty limited. Just seems like it'd be fun.

I'm getting a bit giddy about a new system slot for small ships. Electronic baffles is what the name looks like. If I can have a Corran build that is immune to stress and/or ion it might open up his builds a bit.
Now hold on here... the card game just took our morning preview slot. There better be a second article today...
Nah, just kidding, of course there will be a second article, FFG would never leave us hanging like that!

where do you see that?

A few months ago, I suggested in another thread that Electronic Baffle, based on a photograph of part of the card in a trade magazine, reads as follows:
When you receive a stress
token or an ion token, you
may suffer 1 damage to
discard that token.
Scum Epic: Action IV Transport: Wild Karrde.
I am really hoping they preview the G1-A today. Reallu want to see more aboit that ship.
If I had a month or so to kill, I would attempt to make a three game event for the battle of Endor. Imperial assault to work out the battle for the shield generator, X-wing and Armada for the space battle. The new Star Wars Risk (AKA Queen's Gambit RotJ edition) could work as a scorekeeper and/or allow for a High Commander to throw extra resources towards a particular battle.
NoVa Open (IIRC) already showed a method for combining Armade and X-wing using a few capitol ships.
Only thing missing would be the Vader/Luke duel... Fencing???
Scum Epic: Action IV Transport: Wild Karrde.
Sigh, unfortunately I think you're right that we'll eventually get that (I think the Star Jewel is far more interesting looking). But today, we are almost guaranteed to get an article about the G1-A Transport (Mist Hunter). Next week will be the Jumpmaster 5000, and then wave 8 will be out!
I predict we will get the Action IV announcement in the next 1-3 months.
*snip*

Force and Destiny RPG?
More seriously, I haven't played Imperial Assault, but seems more likely that would also be the best option there.

If we get the Wild Karrde, I'm modifying it into a dust buster.
Really, though. Give me a Star Jewel.
