Dial storage?

By Nikolishin, in X-Wing

How do you store you dials - and ship-tokens?

Personally, I have a Battlefoam bag for all my ships - and it works fine. I use Ultrapro pro binder for my pilot- and upgrade-cards.

But I have yet to find the perfect storage-solution for the dials and shiptokens!

Help me, FFG Forum; you are my only hope!

I use those dice bags they give out at tournies. Work pretty handily if your willing to empty it on the table to find your dials at the start of each game

I used to use a plastic multi-compartment plastic storage box (like the plano boxes you get in the US) however i soon outgrew them as my collection went bat-crap-crazy so i switched to storing the dials (and ship base cards) in with each ship in my KR multicase. This also stops me needing to root through multiple boxes to get a complete game-ready ship. The specific dial/base card slots available from KR (and i'm assuming Battlefoam too) don't appeal to me as they take away from the total number of ships i can store in each box. (keeping the dial/base cards in with each ship has the bonus of saving space as well)

All my dials are stored with the ships themselves in Plano boxes. The ship tokens are in a separate smaller box.

I store my dials and ship boards in with the models themselves. It saves time trying to find them later,

As for the pilot cards and upgrade cards, they are organized by faction/upgrade type, and then by point cost. with each upgrade/faction getting its own bag

Here is a link to pictures of my storage system

I use those as well. Then just baggie up cards and dials for lists I'm running frequently

If you're already using binder sheets (8.5"x11") for upgrade cards and Pilot cards, then maybe look into slide film sheet protectors.

They're about 2"x2" square sheet protectors that will also go in a binder. Some sites sell these as Coin Collector sleeves, but I found that I already had this for some old slide film. Now that I think about it, there's tonnes of products for slide film, and many of them would work for dials...see the below picture.

I just have a Plano 732 for each faction. When you open the top there is a back slot just perfect for the dials.

As for the tokens. I just use one of the 2 small trays that fit in the side compartments. They are plenty big enough for all the tokens. The one half can be made to hold all the large ship tokens, and the other half can hold all the small ship tokens.

I've got a couple Plano cases that work well for ships and pilot inserts.

I use a plastic baggy for my Scum dials, and will probably move my Imperal and Rebel dials to their own bags soon. I just need to open up more space in the cases for ships!

More importantly, though: I think you meant to say "bat-ship-crazy".

Someone in my group is using coin collector pages to store them. That's one thick binder though.
