For all we know Zeb is a teenager in Lasat years. Or it's just a cartoonish retelling of what actually happened.
To those of you that are hatin' on star Wars Rebels
Yeah, Vader's first appearance is really, really impressive. He seems almost disappointed that the Ghost's crew isn't putting enough of a fight- And they're being pushed to their limit.
Edited by SquarkThe first couple episodes were kind of lame, but it was aimed at drawing in the kids, and my younger kids liked it.
Towards the end of the season, things got more intense. Tarkin ordered to officers killed which was done with a double-bladed saber just off screen. The use of a dead body as bait was fairly dark. It's still not great, but I see some potential at this point.
I hated Clone Wars when it came out. The first Season was plain bad. Stories were lame and way too much Binks. But as the series progressed, it got WAY better, and towards the end of the series they were doing some pretty creative story telling that was fairly compelling, and for the most part outside the mental range of the original intended audience.
I hope that Rebels will continue to evolve towards that same sort of level of entertainment.
Can I just say if you have watched it and still don't like it then fine, but don't post your hate on here let's let people decide for themselves.
Then why create yet another Rebels thread that's only going to generate exactly that?
Also, if you want people to decide for themselves, then why is it okay for you to publicly praise it, while people who don't like it shouldn't publicly criticize it?

Chopper gets to hold a gun in the next season
We are all going to die.
Worse, didn't they give him *two*?
Everyone's going to die.
Talonbane! Your work here is excellent and most appreciated.
Be that as it may, there is another.
Chopper obviously was the droid that used to belong to Chuck Norris.

Why would Chuck Norris need a droid? He can calculate hyperspace jumps in his head.
I think this is Filoni's writing style. He practically did the same thing with the clone wars, started out with the more childish parts, and then delved into the deeper character development. I think Ezra will have a similar arc to ashoka, after season 3 we will see some more maturity/ character development.
I thin Rebels is shaping up to be an excellent series. I can't wait to see where this adventure will take us.
Oh and to add. Clone Wars got much better as the seasons wore on. MUCH better. There was some genuine storytelling moments int here that hit me good.

I place a lot of the Clone Wars on Lucas. Pretty certain he was why it got "SUPER DARK, GUYS. WE ARE SUPER SERIOUS NOW!".
After much good praise from others, I decided to start Rebels the other night. Sure, there are moments of kiddishness - but a lot of that is mixed in with a lot of inside jokes that only people who love the original trilogy will enjoy. At least I have felt that way.
Also, I can't wait for a Chopper astromech now.

It tricked me into watching Attack of the Clones again. I thought "maybe Anakin is less annoying than I remember. Maybe I'm just being jaded..."
Nope, that movie is still awful garbage, made worse by knowing what a great flawed hero he could have been from TCW. All the hints at his fall are there, there is subtlety, his trajectory is believable. But then you watch the movies and get crap.
/sigh
I found the "Fall of the Jedi" fan edit to make those movies better.
I like most of Rebels past the first few seasons though I wish the writers of Idiot's Array didn't have every male in the episode playing pass the Idiot Ball.
I like the series. The crew of the Ghost has some good character dynamics, especially between Hera and Kanan, and the action scenes are great. Season 2 is off to a good start with the Siege of Lothal.
My biggest complaints are the lack of development for Sabine in the first season, killing the Inquisitor off so early when he was a good villain, and the downgraded visual quality from Clone Wars.
Some of us would like to have a TV-14+ Star Wars show (TIE Fighter: The Series would be nice)... and instead we get Rebels.
They need to crank out a Deadpool to Rebels' Avengers for the adult fans.
havn't seen it yet, but I was certain this thread would start if
"Those those of you that are hating on Star War Rebels, just wait till Wave 8 when they starting hating on you!"

26 episodes worth, please and thank you.

He learned from Chopper. Also, his roundhouse is based off Chopper's dome arm spin attack.

YES!!!!! I would watch the crap out of that.
I'm definitely not the target audience for Rebels and I find most of the episodes to be really cringe worthy. Any time a stormtrooper is on the screen please cue the Benny Hill music. That being said anytime Tarkin is on the screen he steals the show and Siege of Lothal was pretty amazing. I could watch an entire season of Darth Vader soloing the entire Rebel Alliance.
As other have mentioned the show suffered from the Imperials never feeling like a credible threat. It's Star Wars so some slapstick will always be involved, but the scenes that always stood out to me were the desperate dogfights above the Death Star and the battle of Hoth against the unstoppable juggernaught of the Imperial military.
I think the introduction of more (hopefully disposable) rebel characters is a step in the right direction. I most certainly don't criticize anyone for enjoying it, but its going to take a while for me to warm up to it.
Personally I would love an "Imperials" show, or even settle with Game of Thrones with lightsabers, but those ideas aren't very kid friendly... One can hope!
Also, if you want people to decide for themselves, then why is it okay for you to publicly praise it, while people who don't like it shouldn't publicly criticize it?
Because there's a phrase "don't rain on my parade", and yet no similar phrase about the praiseworthiness of the opposite.
If you don't like it... You can read another thread. Read a thread about something you _do_ like. You've made up your mind about Rebels. Congratulations! You're not going to change my mind about it. I'm not going to change your. There's literally no constructive conversation we can have about it.
I start by saying "I love this thing!" If your response is that I don't or shouldn't love it... That's only going to annoy or frustrate me.
And if you _want_ to annoy or frustrate me because I like something you don't? There are words for that behavior. They're not nice words.
I've watched every episode. Didn't care for it but wanted to give it a good chance. I'm sure being a fan of the EU affected my taste a little. But I doubt it ruined me from enjoying it. What did ruin it for me was plenty.
Wookies
Poor art in general
Lack of caring in Ezra
Forcing TCW characters into the show
Imperial characters are blah and forgettable
I will say that the EU history inside my head makes me not care for the Mando.
Rambling now I guess. Zeb and Chopper are awesome. I also like Kanan and the conflict he's dealing with.

I love GoT and always fly imperial, but I don't want those things at all. To me, it goes against what Star Wars is about. To me, Star Wars is a fun story of hope and triumph over an unequivocally evil villain. There is black and white and no gray in between. Sure there is nuance, but in the OT it was always clear who is good and who is bad.
