POLL - How many LCGs are you following?

By Julia, in Living Card Games

As per subject; it'd be interesting to see whether people tend to specialize (one or two games max) or to follow the scene in a wider way.

So, if you don't mind, list below the LCGs you're regularly following (no need to buy new packs as soon as they are out; let's say you have at least 70% of the existing material).

If enough answer, I could do some (possibly interesting) statistics

EDIT: I'll close the poll and collect the data on September, 25th.

SW

AGoT v2

Netrunner

Conquest

L5R

Only Star Wars but that is looking doubtful going forward that I continue with it.

Legend of the Five Rings (L5R)

Currently none.

Have some Call of Cthulhu stuff, but I am waiting now for L5R. Have not decided if I will give the Netrunner LCG a try while waiting on L5R, since I played that a long time ago when it was a CCG, and so I can better judge on how FFG is changing games when they adapt them for the LCG format (I saw it on CoC, but they owned the game, before the transition so it feels like that doesn't count).

Following (and owning almost everything up-to-date):

A Game of Thrones v1

Call of Cthulhu

Warhammer: Invasion

The Lord of the Rings

Android: Netrunner

Star Wars

Warhammer 40,000: Conquest

...and, obviously, Legend of the Five Rings LCG (in a few years ^_^ )

Unfortunately, my buddies don't like neither the Lovecraftian nor the Cyberpunk themes, so CoC and A:N are the only LCGs i don't play regularly -_-

The Lord of the Rings

Currently just Star Wars and Netrunner.

However I do plan to stop following these after the completion of the current cycles and the next Big expansion for each as no one in my area really plays these anymore and there are no supported events locally much anymore.

I do not plan to follow the new AGoT as I am a little burned by the fact that the same week I caught up on releases was the week the announced abandonment of the First Ed... I picked a really bad time to jump into the AGoT fray...LOL.

It is not an FFG title but I do plan to follow Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn also upon its release.

Sorry for the bad timing for AGoT! It really gets on your nerves when it happens that. Hope you had just got the core set, and not a bandwagon of expansions...

Sadly, in the approximately 6 months leading up to the announcement I had went in fully and bought everything from 2 core sets, all the House expansions and the very week of the announcement I had finished rounding up all Chapter packs I was missing... . I must say that it was one in my continuing string of stellar moments of absolutely horrendous timing; such as was the leaving of my 8+ year "day" job in fall of '08 to try and start my own company only to have the market crash!

Oh, sh1t... the latter experience in bad timing seems a lot worse than the former :-/

Yeah, I am still technically "recovering" from that setback... <_<

Only Star Wars but that is looking doubtful going forward that I continue with it.

After your many Star Wars posts its sad to see you possibly not continuing :(

Harsh doesnt even cover it :( sorry

Sadly the LCG does not do to well here I play XWing, IA, and Armada too

Star Wars

Technically have 0% of Thrones 2.0, still waiting on my Core Sets

Will play L5R unless it's bad

Now Netrunner, AGOT 2ed, and in the future L5R and whener it's possible, battletech.

Cool :) Thanks everyone! I should be able to gather the data this w-end

I don't think imaginary LCGs that wouldn't be released for a minimum of three years is valid polling data.

Yeah, don't worry about that, I'm not gonna include in the analysis non-existing / not announced games (L5R is certainly a legit entry, but Battletech is not, sorry)

Hey Juila, you willing to throw out any numbers yet? How is the poll going?

Yeah, sorry, the poll is closed, but I actually had no time to check the numbers (September has been tougher than expected, and so the first part of October). I'll try to check at the numbers in the next 7-10 days, hopefully. Some more patience :)

Data entered up to here (results will be posted soonish)

Just LOTR at this point. I followed AGoT 1.0 for its entire run, but am not buying into 2.0. I played SW from day one until just recently. I've gone back to MTG for my competitive gaming fix.
