"Pre-assembled" skirmish maps

By ibsh, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Good catch Hipsu; fixed.

The font is STHeiti Light, 48pt.

Ibish thanks great job, guys loving your work with making it easyer to print and therefor have readly access for encouraging organised play.

Ibsh, the blue and red weapon emplacements and terminals in the Kashyyyk Station (Grand Inquisitor) map. Have the colors switched places? Shouldn't the red ones be blue and the blue ones be red?

Good catch Hipsu; fixed.

I am trying to cut the map_group_4.jpg to select only the last 2 maps to the right, but I cannot open the file with phostoshop. I get an error that says "there was an error analyzing the jpg". Can anyone open it? Could anyone cut these maps for me? (or better, join the maps to the file map_group_6). I tried to use nickv2002's program but I am a total newbie.

That should do it... print at 32.0 inches wide by 24.0 inches tall (81.28 by 60.96 cm)

Awesome. Thank you for your time.

Big sale on PixArtPrinting.com (US site) now: 50% off everything & free shipping. I was able to order all 32 of the maps for about $40 shipped, about $1.25 per map! Runs through Aug 21st.

Also, you're limited to 5 items, so I had to combine map groups 5 and 6 into one file. Here's the download and print size for that:

  • Print map_group_5_&_6.jpg (on pixartprinting.com) at 143.0 inches wide by 24.0 inches tall (363.22 by 60.96 cm)

Looking forward to getting my print outs soon!

Can we please have the 4 player maps ready for printing? Also there is a custom made 4-player map on BGG and it would be awesome to have them all together ready for printing.

Getting the custom one on BGG made would depend on Ibsh making a version of it. Here's a link to the original you forgot to provide.

Also, for some reason, it wouldn't give me the discount on the 6th item I added to my cart so I had to combine map groups 5 and 6 into one file. Here's the download and print size for that:

You should be able to submit Ibsh's version of the 4 player map directly to Pixart to print at 300 DPI.

Yes you are right... i haven't incuded them cause i was waiting for a reply from Ibsh to tell me first if he could do it.

I am trying to buy with the 50% discount but the discount is not activating. Does anybody know why?

Are you on the USA site or are you based elsewhere? Discount is only for US site at PixArtPrinting.com AFAIK.

In the .eu site also says that has 50% discount and free shipping but it just doesn't give me the discount.

Only for the first 4000 orders. After that, 50% to the slowest shipping (9+ days). Nevertheless, that is still great. I bought 10 maps for 18€ (shipping included!). It is actually cheap.

Yeah you have to look at the slow shipping option and it should have the discount applied. Look at the difference in estimates. Every time I've done it it just shows up and I have to compare the prices to see that it's discounted.

The slow shipping option is how to get the discount. Just ordered 15 more maps. Trying out some things to see if I can correct the printing issue of it being so dark.

I feel like a dummy right now, but I'm staring at the PVC banner option on PixArtPriting right now and I don't see where I upload the JPG for them to print. I've put in sizes, amount, all that stuff... But I don't see where to click to add the custom art. Can anybody help?

They should send you an email about it, but basically you have to go to your orders page. The details for your order will have an upload button for every print you added. That's where you upload the JPGs.

Ah. There it is. Thanks! I appreciate you putting the tournament maps on to one JPG file.

Thanks for everyone putting the maps together. I ordered the combined 5&6 maps together as well as the separated 23&24 maps. Grand total was $16.13 shipped to CA. I used the dimensions provided here. The huge map was 11 feet of vinyl and the 2 maps were very short at 2.8 feet.

Hmm, looks like they are going to print my banners on Outdoor Vinyl, 16 oz whereas before, they printed on Extreme Classic PVC, 15 oz . Hope they are of the same quality. I cannot find the Extreme Classic on their website at all, so maybe discontinued?

In the US it is just the outdoor. If you can get them from the UK or other locations the Extreme classic vinyl is available. In my last couple of orders for maps I am trying different brightness and contrast settings to see what will work with this particular vinyl. I posted a picture earlier in this thread of the difference between the two. I don't remember what post number it is. Just go back through the pages and you will see it. I keep hoping that they will get other types of vinyl here but it is a waiting game right now.

Just found your post, thanks for the side-by-side. I'll just have to suffer through a less crisp product for this order :(

I wish we could order from the other offices. I even said to them in an email that I would pay for shipping but no luck. Just hope that they get in other vinyl that will work better at some point. I keep trying to find another printer that is just as inexpensive and better looking vinyl. Have not found another printer yet.
