Reprints?

By Roodie, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

An interesting fact - the FFG upcoming items page lists the Core Set as "at the printer" and the Enemy Withing box as "awaiting reprint".

I just spotted that myself - whilst looking for where Warhammer Quest was - and thought it was very interesting.

It has been that way for over a year. Surprised they haven't removed it especially after announcing the end of the rpg.

You can use the contact links bottom of page to ask them about that - is it just that they've not updated info or do they intend to reprint?

Oh Mighty Sigmar! WFRP 3e core set is being reprinted! What is happenening? Is this the End Of The World or just End Times ;p

I just had one thought - maybe, just maybe -FFg and Gw got to an agrement that GW is producing the Age of Sigmar but FFG has a free hand to make games based on the old setting. So maybe FFg will give us a suprise of a new WFRP usung the Old World or maybe some new adventures/suplement for 3e. Maybe nowthere hand are not so thight up as they where.

At GenCon 2015 when the announced WQ:ACG someone asked how it is in compare to Age of Sigmar? So the FFG CEO anwsered that they know about the Age of Sigmar but they feel like the Old setting still has much to offer so Warhammer Quest is set in Empire before the End Times.

Cheers

PS. Maybe they will give us a new campain based of the events of The End TImes or set in this period of time - that would be great. Anything that expandes the Old World will be very aprecieted.

I asked the customer support - they are indeed reprinting some stuff, so the info on the upcoming page is correct - but no new content will be produced for the game.

Wow, the time of miracles is not past :P

That's fantastic news, even though there will be no new content at least those intrested in the game can buy it.

Hope FFG will reprint the dice sets as well, did not see them at the upcoming page though.

That's kind of bizarre. Folk are selling off their stuff cheap(er), a lot of it unused judging by photos on Ebay, so who's going to pay new prices? I guess there must be some evidence of demand coming from somewhere. However, I'm guessing this means there's little or no chance of a new edition.

Interesting that GW aren't making a fuss about it given how uptight they can be about the IP.

Cheers

The core set is still extremely inflated on Amazon. That's what they're reprinting, which makes sense if GW is allowing FFG to use the pre-Sigmarine eras, right? Maybe they're testing the waters to gauge interest with a small print run of the core set.

I guess I could finish off my collection and get the last one or two POD's...

I wouldn't mind an extra Creature Vault.

I'd love more dice. Hope they re-print the dice packs, or make them into PODs. I mean, dice are essential for this game and the core set has to few.

Same. In fact, I would love to be able to just buy more of the punch-out boards of standups. I need more standups of generic monsters. The distribution of monster standups are completely messed up for the game.

Hm, maybe I'll buy one. Anyone know what standups are included in the box? I can't seem to find a precise listing.

I just need to get more of the bloody stands. I put them down somewhere a few years ago and now they're aaaaaaaaaaaall gooooooooone.

And I'm too bollock lazy to buy more.

Ralzar, as far as I am aware, all the monsters and NPC standups up to signs of faith are in the box. I've been wrong before, of course.

I wouldn't have minded a few more copies of diseases and criticals, are they in separate boxes?

I think these are all the included standups in the creature vault:

I cannot take credit for the scans, someone on these forums (I forget who) provided them a while back.

I agree an extra set of diseases had been really useful. Especially when a disease spreads from one PC to another. Sadly the Vaults the GM Vault contains wound cards. It does not contain any of the severe injuries diseases or mutations for that matter.

From what I can tell the GM vault contains the wounds, insanities and miscasts from the core set, nothing more. Seems that diseases can only found in Signs of Faith, and severe injuries only in Omens of War. The Player and Creature vault have no wounds/diseases/miscasts/mutations at all.

Is there an estimate when the WFRP 3e Core Set reprint is expected to be ready to ship? I take it, it would be too optimistic to hope for it to happen this year? More like Q1 2016, perhaps?

Since it's not "awaiting reprint" but rather "at the printers" I guess it's possible that it will be in stock this year if we are lucky (and if so it will probably be late in Q4). But since the core set contains books, dice, cards, cardboard cutouts, a big box and other stuff I'm guessing the printing process takes some time.

So my guess would also be Q1 2016 (or maybe even Q2).

Hasn't it been listed as "At the Printer" for a while now, though? I would like to see it before Xmas, but that may just be hoping. We'll see!

The smart and sensible thing to do from a commercial sense would be to release it imminently so that people can have the Core Box as a Xmas present. Sadly the history of WFRP3 tells us that 'smart and sensible' and 'commercial sense' never factored very high when some of their quite frankly puzzling marketing decisions were made. Expect it 1st quarter of 2016 when everyone is broke after Xmas :P lol

I've been looking around a buying a little here and a little there on the net and been able to get an almost complete collection. But I am missing "Hero's Call" that seems completely unavailable on the European market. If someone knows the direction and wouldn't mind pointing me in it I would be forever grateful!
