If Charlie gets an item through Acquire assets can he only trade it away that turn or save it until his next acquire assets then trade?

The way I am reading it you could only pass along the itmes you purchased during that acquire...

" When you perform an Acquire Assets action , you may allow other investigators to gain any cards you purchase."

Emphasis mine...
