The Concise/Collected Repaints Thread. Keep Them All Here, Keep Em Visible.
Bump
As someone asked on another thread is there was a painting thread.
That is some funky stuff, I love it!
I have a bunch of repaints myself, maybe I should take some pictures sooner rather than later. Its pretty basic stuff, but I am happy with most of it. Expect for one HWK, were I totally failed the non metallic gold. And the color scheme. Boy, that thing is giving me headaches...
Time for some love for the underdog HWK 290 (I think the model is really nice for paint job!)
I want to share with you my HWK repaint I did yesterday. Engines are not yet ready, but I couldn't resist to make something funny with the photo itself - desert image + some time in MS Paint.. and it's done.
I hope you like it.
I don't like it - I love it! That Tatooine smuggler flair - nice job on both the paintjob and the edited picture.
Macross, that K-wing is a beauty.
My poe paint job!

How do I get my drop box image to show in the thread?
Edited by eagletsi111Macross, that K-wing is a beauty.
Have to second this, the USN blue/flame yellow is a beaut.
Awesome repaint, Forensicus
Sadly, I don't have any repaints of my own (....yet), but I've seen some sick repaints. This thread is inspiring me to repaint my own ships...
BTW, How do you guys make the engines look so realistic?
Can someone explain how to post my pictures from drop box into the thread rather than having a link?

You can't, the forums don't allow the Drop box extension (or at least they didn't when I tried to post yours for you).
Put your pictures on photobucket or somewhere similar.
Copy the image url and when your making a post if you look in the toolbar there's a little picture.
Paste the image url in there and save it.
That should do it.
Cheers
Baaa
Is that a half scale xwing in there?
Here's my Nashtah Pup repaint with the Hound's Tooth for comparison. I went a bit too dark with my brown washes, but I think it came out OK. It....irked me....to have the wrong number of teeth on the nose but seeing as how this is the first model I've painted in almost a year (first ever X-Wing repaint) my hands were shaking like a leaf and this was about as much patience as I had for them. Enjoy!
Question for the painters out there, how do you guys like to get a good engine glow effect? (short of lighting the crazy thing)

Thanks, Padre. I'll check those out
Thanks, Gadge! Certainly, the X-wing's size is right: the corvette is not big enought
.
From Wikia:
New Republic Modifications : "The ship's sublight and turbolasers were in disarray and the racks for the TIEs had not yet been installed. This allowed the newly christened FarStar to carry 8 T-65 X-wing starfighters and 4 REC Defender starfighters ".
It was impossible to set the three X-Wings into the hangar...
