You guys salivating over the list diversity need to realize that the new ships have JUST come out, in 2months you'll be complaining about the same old lists (like quad TLT) dominating the meta. There will always be dominant lists from this point in the game, it's just natural. Personally i find this very amusing.

Top 8 (5-1 Swiss, lost to winner in Top 8):

88-B, VI, FCS, HLC, Auto, Title

88-C, VI, Sen Jam, Mangler, Auto, Feedback, Title

I like this list. 97pts for initiative bid is interesting. id be tempted to go with two dampeners over the Feedback Array but thats just my preferences.

It's a song squad run by a strong player. Grant is a good friend and my main sparring partner so I suspect his choice of Feedback Array might have been influenced by my love of various PS9 Aces!

I think it's a very clever all-rounder though as the Jammer helps against TLTs and the Feedback is great for tagging Aces. The Mangler helps against Decimator types and the 97pt is a solid bid for mirrors.

The downside is it loses some hitting power against FCS+HLC Bots though and my preference would be for Mangler on the B.

Having said all of the above I'm not a Bot player (cultist?!?..) so I might have it all wrong!

Morgan pretty much nailed it. We test a lot against each other and i first put this on the table about a month ago, all up I've maybe had 20 games with it. I ran that asymmetrical set up for the reasons he discussed.

I'm not really a brobot player either,I cut my teeth on 4 ship rebels, and Dash Corran is my most sucessful list by far. I picked this list based on my assesment of the meta, hoping it would be strong against the field. Turned out to be a good guess!

I did miss fcs on C, but watching sensor jammer just shut down tlt was glorious. They're both good in their own right.

PSA: If the internet connection doesn't **** things up, Spanish National will be streamed this weekend on this Twitch channel . 5 round swiss on Saturday, Top 16 on Sunday. Both days should start at 10am CEST, which I guess is 4am ET.

thats it i'm moving to Poland !

Not only that, there were over 130 participants

135. 4 of us was from Denmark. 1 from Germany. 1 Austrian. 1 from Sweden. 2 from Spain, 2 I think from Hungary and a few from UK.

It was a great event.

The losing player flew very well, but has been pretty unlucky and the Winner evaded a lot with those Ys.

If the last turn shots went a bit different (if Y didn't evade the killing blow) I guess we'd have a different champion.

Thanks. The losing player was me and I would like to say that even though 4 TLT-Y-Wings are pretty evil vs Han, I wouldn't say it was an auto-win for the TLTs. 4-TLT-Ys is without doubt are very strong list, but not unbeatable and I drew some good conclusions from this and other games afterwards. And Brobots and Obsidian-Swarms should have no problems with overcoming the Y-Wings.

Reading the results of the Spanish nationals it's cool. At first glance it's an almost 50/50 mix of old meta lists and new lists. Very exciting to see.

They shoot with primary weapon at range 1. The champion played it well in the late game by trapping Jake Darrel between his ships arcs.

It was a nice game to watch and it's a good example of why tlt ys aren't overpowered as many in this board claim. The game was very close and I'm pretty sure that if the runner up had more experience facing a quad y list the outcome of the game might have been different.

Anti-tlt blubbering doesn't take into account that its strength also comes from being a novelty which require a different and more offensive approach to take down, which is pretty he opposite of how xwing has been played at least since last year worlds.

At the 7:40 mark the Falcon range 1 shoots the Y-wing (he rolls 4 dice and they measure it with a range 1 only range ruler) then at 8:25 the Y-wing player points to the just shot Y-wing and does a double tap with it. It is facing away from Han and can't use it's primary. It used its TLT at range 1. And I think it happens one another time later on in the match.

The falcon is range 1 shooting the y which is facing him, the one behind Jake. The y you are referring is barely range 2, they spend some time to measure it and it's pretty clear
