Eureenus Dagur (aka Galvin Remington ) is from the Deathworld of Dhurnadh, of the rimward frontier in the Calixis Sector…

Galvin Remington was to the Agonesti, a race of warriors. When he was an infant, almost the entire Agonesti population was massacred on the orders of a young Imperial Officer named Sihgurt Gesch who would later become the head authority of the Soignee Subsystem. This future Lord had heard a prophecy that he would one day be slain by a Agonesti warrior, and sought to prevent this fate by killing them all first. He was merciless in his butchery, going so far as to have the babies strangled with their own umbilical chords. Despite the extent of his plans, however, the Lord-Officer had missed a few choice targets - Remington included!

In the midst of a wartime evacuation, a shuttle crashes on or near an isolated world in a remote region of the Calixis Sector. The only survivors are boys in their middle childhood or preadolescence. Free from the rules that adult society formerly imposed on them, the boys marooned on the moon struggle with the conflicting human instincts that exist within each of them—the instinct to work toward civilization and order and the instinct to descend into savagery, violence, and chaos. The boys assemble themselves. In the election for leader, Korduba defeats Galvin, who is furious when he loses. As the boys explore the island, tension grows between Galvin, who is interested only in hunting, and Korduba, who believes most of the boys’ efforts should go toward building shelters and maintaining a signal fire. When rumors surface that there is some sort of beast living in their territory (a valley), the boys grow fearful, and the group begins to divide into two camps supporting Korduba and Galvin, respectively. Ultimately, Galvin forms a new tribe altogether, fully immersing himself in the savagery of the hunt.

Eventually all the boys on the moon join with Galvin descend further into savagery and chaos. When the other boys kill one of their number and destroy the working voxcaster, Korduba flees from Galvin’s tribe and encounters an arriving naval officer on a moutain. From there Korduba tells the arriving authority of what had transpire resulting in questions to the young-group's allegiances and overall aim, shortly thereafter they would be deemed Insubordinant and thusly be collected for reeducation.

Galvin fled those purges as the valley was cleared of the boys who would be spirited off this lowly world - soon after Galvin would be alone...

Years pass and Galvin becomes the dominate thinking thing on the moon - all else on that Deathworld was simple and predatory allowing the marooned man to learn and survive that world's rigors. Years later, a Voidfarer, Philippe Remington, leads a band of explorers to that moon, though he is disgusted by their boorish nature and love of 'blood and sport'. A pack of predators attack the party, killing everyone except Philippe, who is injured and conceals himself in the crags and fissure afforded. The now half-naked man (Galvin Remington) finds Philippe and nurses him back to health. Remington discovers that the man is a natural mimic and teaches him to speak rudimentary Gothic. Remington deduces that this man is a survivor of the Agon massacre and calls the man "Galvin". Galvin agrees to return to the Imperium with his benefactor and reunite with the empire.

Upon their return to the Void and those climes inhabited by densely populated worlds - Galvni is seen as a novelty by the local social set, and some of his behaviour is seen as threatening and savage. Over time, he became an especially cunning and dangerous character, regarded by many as a most lethal threat, and those who knew him rarely underestimated him. An altercation would ensue one day and Philippe would come to the defense of his ward, leading to his prosecution thereby causing his house to fall and Galvin with it - Galvin spirits himself away from the occassion only to populate the historic Imperial Record later in his life...

As he journey, Galvin went all over the galaxy, committing an unknown number of acts, ending up being press-ganged by his adulthood. He never harmed others for the thrill of it, but simply to overcome any obstacles standing in the way of his freedom. During his stay on the Uramona, a slave-ship where then impressed (those who have press-ganged) never see the light of day, the surgeon-preacher Kyross-Olsen introduced an unidentified chemical to Galvin's bloodstream, altering his genecode.

Naturally, several bounty hunters made it their missions to track him down for the money, favouring bringing him in alive due to his value being worth twice as much if he was in that state (by the command of Governor Sihgurt Remington).

He was eventually captured by a bounty hunter known as Schofield, who posed as a Arbites to divert suspicion from himself, and was dumped on a passenger ship heading through space. However, the ship was caught in an asteroid storm, killing the captain and most of the passengers, leaving the few survivors crashed on a desert planet with three suns. Using his wit and experience, however, he managed to effect an escape and remained for a time native to that forgotten world, although he was to leave about a year afterwards when auspex scanners from a Mechanicus exploratator vessel showed trace amounts of minerals important to their obscure efforts.

When the explorators left the barren world - they had a stowaway on board - namely Remington!

Eventually the interloper was discovered and it wasn't long until the passionless men of the Mechanicus Cult would envision a new bolder form for the Deathworlder to take - that of a servitor. Unable to fulfill their transformation of the lowly voidfarer - he was placed in stasis for he to them was top quality specimen that shant go to waste - as it was put...

20 years later the explorator vessel anchored in the Drusus Subsystem at their Zystyxe Space Station - there the Deathworlder would be transformed - in time...

It would be at which time when Remington would be taken from stasis and his body preprepared for full augmetic metamorphosis; requiring his body to reaclimate for several months of hard labor first! He would remain there for 4 months until he saw his salvation in the form of a visiting cruiser - the Iconium. By which time the first proto-tech had been implated to his nerve ends which then terminated into a new mechanical arm. He knew he had had enough and insulated himself aboard the Iconium as it departed after a month at the Space Station.

He continued to go from ship to ship even spending short periods of time on a few planets, his name changed from that given at his birth of Eureenus Dagur to Remington and at which time he purposefully changed his life working hard to become a force to reckon with - while keeping his past an unknown secret. He dreams of the day that he can drive a dagger through the heart of Sihgurt Remington. Such thoughts are share this with no one else.
