Ancient one is like azeroth with focus on omen track, but probably more hands on?? Hopefully they add some more prelude cards. I do not think they give us more investigators yet though.
Wished they planned something out for backs of unique character allies then just copying the front

A syzygy is a cosmic allignment (ref: wiki ), hence, a sort of prophecy investigators need to avoid it realizes

Thid kind of event when earth moon and sun have a certain alignment which bring us to doom. Actually is nothing to do with Lovecraft… however is still his style of doom.
Cannot say im happy about it…. But ok is better then nothing!

And I think that I'll love the Mystic Ruins Encounter deck!!!
This is my favorite game, and I will honestly buy any expansion they put out for it, the last small box expansion was excellent, and I love Mountains of Madness and I'm sure this will be no different. I'd like to say though that the cover art of the Easter Island statues is really striking, and I really want to commend the artist on a job well done.
While it has nothing directly to do with Lovecraft, given that he was always on about "the stars align/are right" and so forth, I think a celestial alignment is still quite thematic for the game.
The opportunity to investigate new parts of the board is really interesting, anyway - looks like a new deck for what feels like it might be a new expedition-style phase? Four new investigators sounds like fun, too, as well as a slew of new stuff. I'd be excited for this no matter what, but generally, I'm really excited for this chap to arrive.
The only thing that's vaguely upsetting is that this is due for Q3, so no new big box for Christmas, I'm guessing? Yes, like a true nerd, I'm never happy...

Well... I don't think it's too bad that we have some non-conventional stuff coming. I'm sure there is enough space to expand EH to include each and every element of the lovecraftian universe. No rush. Just happy we have something new, some more preludes and some new investigators. Should boost replayability of the game quite a bit
I'm a bit dissapointed in that we didn't get a new great old one/outer god/elder god.
I like the easter Island heads* on the cover, they make me wish one of the investigators was called Vic Viper.*

Wasn't expecting Syzy thingy but seems like a cool concept. The new Mystic ruins encounter deck will probably only be in play if Syzygy is the AO due which is good for the Lovecraft purists as it wont really change the the overall tone of the game if Syzingy isn't the AO.
Great to see Tony Morgan again. I have just finished reading Dance of the Dammed and quite liked his character. Him and Daisy make a good team.
Also happy to see the werewolf.

New expansion went from development to printing, just hope its not one of those very long boat rides to get here...

yep, I would suspect that it's on the same boat as the first expansion. That way they have all three ready to go at GenCon. SIGH, more waiting

Just out of curiosity, I made a list of possible investigators that can show up in future expansion. My guess is based on these thesis:
1) half of the investigators are male, other half female
2) they will release investigators that were included in Arkham Horror expansions before they move to brave men and women included in base Arkham Horror game
We know that one of male investigators is Tony Morgan. Second can be:
Hank Samson, farmhand
Luke Robinson, dreamer
Rex Murphy, reporter
Roland Banks, fed
Skids O'Toole, ex-convict
William Yorrick, gravedigger
About female investigators, we should get two among these:
Marie Lambeau, entertainer
Minh Thi Phan, secretary
Rita Young, athlete
Wendy Adams, urchin
Zoey Samaras, chef
