Unique/Elite Units

By simpatikool, in Warhammer 40,000: Conquest - Rules Questions

Good People,

I am sure this is some text I have overlooked somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't determine if a Unique Unit and an Elite Unit are the same thing, or not.

In the Rules Reference, I can see what defines a Unique Unit, but there is no entry for Elite.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

Thanks yall.

Unique units are units with the symbol for unique (a small skull) before their name.

Elite units are high-cost units that have the Elite trait underneath the card art.

Elite is just a trait on a unit. P. 15 RRG :

Traits:

"More cards have one or more traits listed at the top of the text box and printed in italics. Traits have no inherent effects on the game. Instead, some card abilities reference cards that possess specific traits."

This would differentiate them from the skull symbol next to a card's name that makes it a unique.

Thanks guys. Man was I overthinking that one. Somehow, I was thinking Elite = Unique.

Appreciate it.
