"Informal" Standard Joust event at Gencon (you can call yourself the Standard "World Champion" if you really want)

When: Thursday, August 13, 2009 (essentially after the Legacy Joust event at Gencon)

Where: FFG LCG Area at Gencon (we're "squatting")

Format: "Old Style" Joust Standard. Legal sets are - Iron Throne Edition (including the ITE Legacy Pack and any promo card with the ITE set symbol), House of Thorns, House of Talons, Five Kings Edition, the 6 Chapter Packs from the Clash of Kings cycle, the 6 Chapter Packs from the Time of Raven s cycle, the 3 available Chapter Packs from the King's Landing cycle, the AGoT LCG Core Set and the AGoT LCG expansion Kings of the Sea . The card Jaqen H'gar (F43 from the Sacred Bonds Chapter Pack) is banned in this event. All other cards from the above sets are legal. All other FFG Joust event rules are in effect.

Pairings and Prizes: Play will be 3-4 rounds of Swiss, depending on participation. If there are 16 or more participants, we can cut to "Top 4 single elimination" rounds at the discretion of the field. Prizes for 1st through 4th place. (1st place will receive 60 custom-made card sleeves - and can choose the art. 2nd through 4th will choose from available sets of 7 custom-made House card sleeves - enough for a plot deck.) Players interested in offering additional prize support or "bounties" are welcome to do so.
