what makes this word more vulgar then otheres is it the way it sounds or is it because the adults told us so as kids. Fact is a word is a word and the only reason you people think its dispicable is because you were taught that, I've grown up tyhats why I realize that "Curse Words" and "swearing" is just some taboo created by parents to kid their children in line. If you can prove why "swears" are so much more vulgar then any other word tell me but that fact is swears are still just a couple nouns and some verbs.

They're offensive because we are taught that they are supposed to be offensive, and as such the greater part of society will consider it vulgar even though there is nothing to really suggest that they are 'taboo'.

Society accepts that they are vulgar terms, and we continue this tradition because we all believe that other people will find such terminology offensive, and as such, we, the greater part of the coummunity, choose not to offend people in such a manner unless we personally feel the situation calls for it.

I for one, don't find it offensive whatsoever, but I have my duty as a member of this community to remind others that they are also a part of this community and should act as such, not flagrantly abuse their right to an opinion.

I can use such language around my friends since I am fully aware that we are all comfortable with it, however I would never use vulgar phrases around people whom I know are offended by it, as I'm sure certain members of this community are.

AitG - I said as much that I don't mind swearing around my friends, since I know they're not offended , however, there are several members of this community that I don't know on a personal level, or at all, and as such I do not feel the need to use such language.

All we have said is that there is no need for it and stated our reasons for doing so.

Curse words are still bad to a sense probably not as much as they use to be as you see now on television series and such they dont bleep them out as much. Though in actuality they are bad and I never use them and even when I am around friends, except when I am showing I am serious about something when I get angered cause then when I use a curse word my friends no that I am not joking since I never use it on a regular basis. Which also brings to the point that when curse words are used on a regular basis it takes away from the impact or meaning of it. Since I have a friend that likes to spout out the F word every second of the day I just kinda look at him and laugh when he says it even though most of the time he's serious cause he officialled losted the emphasis that word would normally have. lol
