Mission choosing

By Rich J, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Anyone found it a bit odd how you get to choose the scenario? It seems good not to have the initiative as then the opponent has to choose one of your missions. And with only having to pick three of the twelve missions they are always going to be the ones least suited to one's faction.

There are going to be missions that never get used.

Loving the game a lot - just found it odd.

I've only played 180 point games using a random objective so far, but it feels to like the player with initiative has a lot of advantage. I see forcing the player with initiative to choose from the second player's missions as a way to reduce that advantage. And letting the player with initiative choose from three lessons the impact of using the second player's objectives by letting the first player pick the one they work best with.
