Can an overlapping ship disengage squadrons?

By Gibarian, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Imagine some engaged TIE and X-Wing squadrons duking it out in front of a Victory. The SD makes its maneuver, and overlaps some or all of the squadrons. Can the Rebel player place the displaced squadrons on opposite sides of the SD to disengage from the previously-locked engagement?

Yes.

If the squadrons are placed at a range greater than Distance 1 from each other, or if the capital ship is between the squadrons and thus obstructing their line of sight, then the squadrons are no longer considered to be engaged.

Yes he can! One of the dangers for Admirals. Watch were you position those squadrons.
