Campaign Hero Trays

(I honestly am not sure how to PM in this forum :/)

Shar click on his name. Then look for the box that says something along the lines of "send a personal message." It will be to the right of his profile pic

No wonder I couldn't figure out. I clicked on his profile, looked through every page, couldn't find a thing. And I'm no stranger to webpages (been my profession for almost 20 years now). Finally, on a whim, I clicked on *my* profile. Apparently my "personal messenger has been disabled". Once I reactivated that, the "send message" button was visible. No clue how my messaging got disabled, but I can now send messages :)

Hah! That's why I couldn't find it either - I looked at your profile when you asked the question and couldn't find the link.

Sadly I think this would cost a small fortune to ship to the UK. :(

Shouldn't be too expensive as they cant weigh that much? I've sent a PM, would want these to get to Belgium :D .

I'll weigh them tonight to get an idea of what shipping will look like.

The cheapest I found to ship them internationally was USPS flat rate, large board game box, at $80. Fedex and UPS used dimensional weight calculations, and both came to around $200.

Think I have the Imperial Tray figured out!

Here's the preview (haven't cut it yet):

Not bad, Not sure I like the attachments options, no way to tell which goes where Maybe switch it around some so that there are 2 attachments below each card slot with the hex of one on top right and the hex of the second on bottom left like

CC CC CC

CC CC CC

Pd Pd Pd

So the 4 Cs are a single large card with P and d Being the small cards with the Hex spot sharing the center-line. Not sure how space efficient that is though. There is also no slots for the agenda cards that may be in play either

There's just not room for everything all at once, so I left the agenda cards off since most are secret until played or don't actively affect the current mission.

My thought on the attachments is they go to the right of the deployment card they are attached to. Since you can put multiple attachments on a single deployment, you can use the whole row and leave the 2nd deployment in the row empty. As is, it allows 2 deployments with 2 attachments, plus another 2 with one attachment, and another 2 without any. Imperials are hard to create a single tray for...

Hmm maybe I can add some arrows from deployments to attachments to make it more intuitive...

What about slots to 'stand up' cards in? I can't decide if that would be useful for the hidden agenda cards or just a great way of accidentally bending cards...

I have a laser cutter that works more like a printer. Any chance of getting these as a picture file? .jpg is fine but any image file will do :)

Is it sized for sleeved cards?

I think the Imperial tray you have mocked up looks great and isn't too big. I like it quite a lot. Nicely done!

How are you exhausting the deployment cards? Using a stamina token?

Under 4lbs and 12 inches it can be shipped USPS First Class International, which should be cheaper.

How much does each board weigh and what are the dimensions, out of curiosity?

5 trays weigh 4lbs 10ou. Dimensions are 19.5"x8.5"x1.25" (5 trays stacked). These are the base tray dimensions, not including packing material. I checked USPS, FedEx, and UPS international and they all use dimensional weight because of the length of the boards. USPS Priority Mail Large Flat Rate (board game box) was the cheapest ($80).

Yes, I'm using a stamina token to mark card exhaustion. My gaming group started doing this before I made the boards because it took too much space and time to flip cards sideways, it caused constant rearranging of the game area to accommodate. We found that there were plenty of extra stamina tokens, and using "stamina" to mark "exhaustion" just made sense. Also, I just really like hexagons.

There are also agenda cards that might be face up for the mission. I suppose you could use a deployment slot for that...

Great work - my OCD is pining for something like these...

unbe-f***ing-lievably cool

I took the sketchup file and tried to get some quotes from local (UK) laser cutting businesses. At the moment, the best price I've got for 5 trays is £80!!

As much as I love these, I can't justify spending almost double what I paid for the game! :(

I might just look into making some neoprene or vinyl playmats instead?

Vinyl playmats would be cool. The makerspace I use for my laser cutting has a wide format printer that I *think* can print vinyl, I'll have to check on that.

I'm only charging a little above cost to cover my expenses, which at current exchange rates would be £54 . So that markup seems about right for a full laser cutting business.

I don't suppose you ever did get playmats made?

Lovely work :)

Hi there

Looks like the link is unfortunately dead. Could you please share this again by any chance please (or someone who got it when it was available)?
I almost bought it on your site when I noticed it would cost me as much shipping as the price of the 5 boards themselves... (France)
