Hey all, I was playing a solo game against Cthulhu last night, and during a Sea Research Encounter, it said that a cultist summons a Deep One to attack me. If I passed the will test, it would kill the cultist instead. I have two questions about this.

1) Does "passing" in this context mean getting just one success as usual, or do I also have to get a number of successes equal to its horror?

2) What happens if I do pass the will test? Do I also have to resolve the strength test?

1,success is enough to pass any test. So if you have at least one success during a horror or strength test during a combat you pass a test regardless lose sanity or not.
