[Starships]: Player Dashboard

By GM Hooly, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

What are the targeting blocks for under the Critical Hits blocks (the ones that look like four arrows pointing at the crosshairs)? Are they supposed to hold any kind of value or just there for decoration near the critical that the ship has taken?

The "targeting blocks" are there to place a cross in to indicate a critical hit. You then write in the effect of the Critical Hit.

The idea of how to use the chart is to laminate the page and the use a dry erase pen to record things as you go.

OK. That gives me some idea how to work them into the form in terms of what element type to use with them.

Could you do up the sorusuub Luxery 3000 yaght. i can fill in the word text. just need the ship silouette swapped from yt to yaght

Does it have a floor plan anywhere on the net which shows it from above (not the internal)? If so, send me a link and I'll do that for you.

THIS is the best I could find. If you think its awful, I'll keep hunting. There are a lot of side and front views, but nothing from about that I could use like the others.

Perfect :)

Thank you though for providing me with the credit for the work. They look pretty good.

Now some feedback on the PDFs themselves.

1) Is there a way to change the font to be the font I have supplied as a link on the first page of the document?

2) The size of the font in the ship name is too big. I'd say drop it down two levels and lets see how that looks.

3) The size of the font in the speed/silhouette/handling is 1 size too big

4) The font in the shields is one size too small and is currently justified to the left. Can that be centered.

Other than that, they look fantastic. I wish I had the skills to create form fill-able PDFs. Its a skill I'd like to possess.

And some of us would like to possess your skill with artwork, so I guess we’re even. ;)

As per Agatheron 's request, I present v1.1 of the Starship Action Sheet.

Starship Action Sheet v1.1

[EDIT: I've updated this to version 1.2 as there were a couple of errors. Check the first post in this thread]

I'm printing up two of these bad boys. It's going to make vehicle combat a WHOLE lot easier. You da man, Hooly!

Target; Maximum Lamination!

Thanks gentleman. I mainly created them to make things easier for myself and my players who are new to the system, so I'm glad I shared it and can help others.

1) I've had issues using fonts in fields without embedding a hidden field for each font with all the possible values filled in.

2) The font sizes in most of the single line fields is set to Auto, so it will shrink if the name gets bigger than the field width to keep it all visible. I could just shrink the height of the field.

3) see 2 :)

4) yes, it can.

Good stuff. Never mind re fonts, but if it can be done, that make it 120% awesome instead of 100% awesome.

I have new versions uploaded to deal with the centering vs left aligning.

Keep up the great ideas guys. I love all the creative people that we have here :) I'm less the creative person and more the technical person when it comes to this stuff... As I say at work, I don't make pretty, but give me pretty and I can make it functional :)

So, what you're saying is that it can be made... 20% cooler? :)

For those that was a few extra ships, you can also follow another similar discussion at the d20Radio Forums .

Check it out :)

I printed out the YT-1300 for my upcoming Beginner Game session and noticed a wee typo. There's a "Torsal" mounted turret, which I think you meant to have as "Dorsal."

I had the sheet printed on heavy card and laminated. We'll see how well it works during the session.

The Torsal mounted turret is in the torus...duh :P

Oops. Thanks for the pickup :)

Hooly I did send you the Eta so you could share it.

Here's an accompanying sheet for players to use. I will be moving the Actions and Manuevers from the main sheet and providing a place to record Critical hits and some of the other useful information.

Looking for feedback as always :)

I used these tonight and very useful. One thing I found missing is the difficulty for attack rolls. I know if it is based on silhouette but can never remember the formula.

Thanks for this.

One thing, the damage control action is wrong. When attempted to recover strain it only recovers 1 strain, no matter how many successes you get.

Also, the manual repair action is missing.

Cheers,

Yepes

Great job!

However I have noticed that the ¨Spoofing Missiles¨ is also missing. In addition you may consider adding the ¨Snap-Roll¨ Incidental that DarthGM is currently testing. It is an elegant and simple way of increasing the survivability and cinematic aspect of space combat. Below is the link:
