In the Mountains of Madness expansion, there is an 'Old Journal' Unique Asset which has another code - like the one referencing Nyarlathotep in ForLor - on the flip side. It is indeed different from the previous one, and if anyone knows the cipher feel free to post the translation.

Also, there is reference to this card in the MoM rule book. On Page 5, there is a letter between Daisy and Tommy concerning 'a man in a dark suit', who face was beyond recollection - but 'the abnormally loud ticking' of an unseen watch was noted. The letter tells of Timothy Cornish, ' a collector of rare and strange texts ' , and how he went mad and was committed to the ' Danvers Lunatic Asylum ' after his ' violent mental breakdown '.

We can connect two aspects of this story: The first is the 'Ticking Man'. He is either one of the Tick Tock Men (Lost Knowledge Rumor Card) OR , my preferred theory, he is the same ' intruder dressed in a fine black suit ' on the Debt card ' Make a Deal ', who advances the Doom track as ' the ticking noise begins to hypnotize you' .

The second connection is looser than the first, and that is a prediction of the next Ancient One: Namely, Hastur the King in Yellow. This is through the fact that, a collector of rare and strange books (two categorizes the play falls aptly into) who suffers a 'violent mental breakdown', and is a theater director. Would it not stand to reason that, while looking through is bizarre library, he reads a prospective play for his theater company to perform, and stumbles across That Second Act?

Most of this is speculation, however, as I do not know how to translate the code in the original Old Journal Card. If anyone can, please respond.
