battle foam 720 custom is what you seek... it holds ALL my imperial stuff and i have 3 Firesprays,10 ties, 8 interceptors 4 shuttles and 6 of everything else. I dont have a spot for my decimators yet probably going to wait a bit and design it around the raider as well...

I found a Faded Glory shoebox at Walmart that fits the CR90 perfectly. So my wife got a pair of shoes and I got a box, all on clearance for $5. Not a bad deal.
Yeah, but your wife still spent 5 dollars on shoes, and it was probably your money. Could have gone toward another ship. 
CR90 fits perfectly in a Battle foam 720 bag along with TWO transports and several fighters in the SAME custom tray...just saying... and NO i don't work for battle foam....lol

I'm using kr foam trays it's bulkier but I know nothing will break off in transit, though with scum conning I'll need more space.

Same. Currently storing all of my ships in 1 Plano 732. I continue to rearrange it to find more space for everything each time I get more ships.
With 8 TIE Fighters, 6 Bombers, 4 Phantoms, 3 Defenders, 2 Shuttles, 2 Decimators, 3 Firesprays, 3 TIe Advanced('s?), and 9 Tie Interceptors (and I'm probably forgetting something) just for Imperials it's quite difficult to store and be mobile at the same time. I keep everything in the plastic vaccuum formed holders the ships come packaged in,a nd then put those into various cardboard boxes.
All this tacklebox stuff is great for organising the dials and ship tiles and tokens/dice and such, but using it to store ships is less safe for the models than the plastic holders, costs additional money, and with a collection as dumb as mine there is the real possibility of running ouf of space in the fancy Plano box that opens up and holds 4 plano tackleboxes inside of it. Infact, I'd probably be out of space. One tacklebox for tokens/dice, another for all of my dials and ship tokens, one for small Imperial ships, another for small rebel ships. Welp, looks like I'm out of space lol.
Besides, with how much money I have in this game, storing all of your stuff neatly in a single box makes it much easier to steal. I've started bringing only the ships/dials/cards/etc. I need for 2 builds along with my tacklebox of tokens/dice/templates. For casual game days it'll be two builds, for tournaments I'll only bring one.

We'd have a Death Star without proper armour on the exhaust port, because the requisitions form for that was just one hassle too many.

I actually did go out and pick up a second tackle bag at Walmart for $30. Now have a dedicated storage bag just for models and cards, and a tourney bag for bases, templates and a prebuilt squad.
And there's still two more unused trays for the eventual Rebellion and Imperial expansion.
I mean, look at this. There's barely any room left. I think I can squeeze in one more TIE Fighter, and probably another Defender, but otherwise there's no more room in the docking bay.

Looks identical to the large trays of my Plano 732. OP did mention it was a Plano tacklebox, so it is likely also a Plano 732.
