Storage Today what is everyone using?
Also I should add I have two transports and a raider on the way.
I've been using the Plano 1374 but when Scum comes out I might upgrade to a Stanley Rolling Workshop combined with some smaller Plano trays
Right now I have 4 of each small ship (except 6 z95 and 12 tie fighter) 2 of each large, 2 transports.
So I am really stuck with a hodgepodge of different Plano Trays in an old gun case and tackle box.
Edited by CubanboyDo you typically haul everything around? Or do you just grab what you are going to fly and then pack a tray or two?
Just picked up a Plano 1374 this weekend. It holds my collection -- but barely. I might be able to squeeze in one more wave.
I'm really hoping FFG will start making card packs for this game, but I doubt they will. I'm already paying $15 for a star wars booster or game of thrones chapter pack -- I'd gladly pay the same for x-wing card packs, even if they had half the number of cards. Getting the miniatures are cool, but I'm reaching the limits of what I can store. Maybe it has something to do with the license they have?

I use bosch click&go. Each box is stackable so it's all very portable. It's not cheap though.

Empire ships actually take up more room than rebel ships do, most rebel ships are flat so they can be stored upright in the pluck foam.
I have a habit of carrying around 1 side with all my ships for that faction.
I use the plano 732, this video that originally let me know about it explains it's uses for x wing, imperial assault, and armada pretty well:
I like the yellow Stanley cases, my ships and bits fit in two with room for Scum.
This one is not my case but it shows the idea.

This is very interesting, first I've ever seen this used for X-Wing. Can you provide links to the products you use? Maybe a few other photos show how it stacks together?
I currently use the Plano 3374 for my standard ships. I picked up the Battlefoam tray for my epic ships, since I don't really carry those everywhere.
Edited by PhantomFOI was able to score a damaged Plano 777 tackle box repaired the damage with some green stuff resin and got a couple of tray's for it. Cheep is good. I was thinking of doing some foam core containers like the ones here.
Edited by DodtI just glue magnets onto the bottom of my ships bases and carry them in a metal tool box. One 10mm magnet on small ships and two on large ships keeps them firmly in place. Also gives them a bit of weight so they aren't as prone to bumps on the table, essential with the clumsy lot I play with.
Thanks all
This for compact transport:

3 of these, double sided, for compact storage:

This for cards, since they no longer fit anywhere:
And one of these for my huge ships:

I use Plano's X-Wing Miniatures case, also known as the 1374, or the "Four By". Rumor has is that some strange people also repurpose this thing to store fishing lures in, but whatever.
It has plenty of room for my tiny fleet, with lots of room for many more ships to come. Each of the faction trays has room for about a dozen more fighters before I have to worry about space becoming an issue.
Right now, I carry this around, since I still don't have "A List" that I play - I'm still trying things out, and I don't know which way I want to go. I just started playing/collecting about two weeks ago. I'm one of those that will specifically NOT play the "flavor of the month" or what people here call the "current meta" simply because that's what wins. I'm one that likes to try to find ways to beat it.
Once I pick a list, I'll probably get a smaller box to contain just what I'd need to play that list, including templates, counters, and dice, and just leave the big box at home or in my trunk.
Here is the box.

It holds four trays in the base, has a opening top section where I store counters and dice for use during a game, and the whole top section opens up (not shown) where I could carry the CR90 if I wanted to take it with me.

Here's my Imperial tray. Current fleet: 5 TIE Fighters, 3 TIE Interceptor, 1 TIE Advanced, two TIE Phantoms, 2 TIE Defenders, 1 TIE Bomber.

My Rebel fleet currently consists of: 2 A-Wings, 2 B-Wings, 4 X-Wings, 2 Y-Wings, 2 E-Wing, and 1 Z-95.

My large ships: 1 Firespray (Slave I), 1 Lamda-class shuttle, 1 YT-1300 (Falcon), 1 HWK-290 (technically not large, but it's too big to fit in the fighter tray comfortably.

I recently added a new tray for more large ships. I put this in the upper portion of the box.

Here's the setup tray - it has all the one-time things for setting up a game, specific scenario pieces, etc.

My transport and Tantive live in their original boxes for now, I don't carry them around.
My solution definitely won't work for most: I keep all but a baggie of spare/scenario tokens in the box my Battlestar Galactica Daybreak expansion came in. Hooray Fantasy Flight.
I've been using the big'ol Plano 732 which has been great for my rather large collection. Though I'm a little worried how I'll make it work for Scum.
I use a Battlefoam 720 P.A.C.K.
I'll have to re-organize my Plano 1374 once S&V comes out. I'll still be able to fit it all in, but once the Imperial Raider comes out, I'll have to do something different. At the moment, I do carry my CR-90 wherever I take my X-wing stuff. Never know when an Epic game might break out. I like the option. What will happen once I get two epic? Oooph.....
I also use the Plano 1374 and love it. I see several of them at each tournament.
I have a KR case I bought to carry around my space wolves, since I don't play 40k anymore I did some modification and I can carry all my rebel and imps safely.
The thing I love about my Plano X-Wing Miniatures case (1374) is that I picked it up while grocery shopping at my local Meijer (meijer.com) for $49.
I also happened to grab a few of the 3750 trays (the 1374 came with 4x 3700's) because they were on clearance for $2.99.
